No, you are exactly right, Patricia. The image wasn't showing up so the code that is posted to Cam's and Jenn's blogs isn't quite right. I'm not sure how to fix that since I don't know the command to have the code show up under the image. Maybe Dafeena could find it.

Patricia, you have Wordpress like me, right? Add an image widget, and do like I did - copy image location (from my blog or Jenn's or Cambria's) and put it in the widget URL. Add manually the link to this page in the space to link. PM me if you don't understand what I'm saying! ;-)

I guess because some of us use different blog mainframes, it has to be tweaked a little bit. I finally managed to get mine lined up correctly on my front blog page. I ended up doing a little searching through some of the layout formatting and found where I needed to move it over. Yay me!!
Patricia, you're welcome! ;-)And Sara, I still hope Blogger and Wordpress work out their differences... sometimes I find it hard to comment on Blogger and Blogger users find difficulties commenting on Wordpress. Sigh.
Dale- Did you try to copy and paste off my blog? What was the trouble part for you? I can try and walk you through it if you want.

The codes on your blogs aren't quite right for some reason. I had to tweak them to get them to work (I actually had to go copy the image from Photobucket and then rework the HTML to get it to show up...)The code I have now is:
{a href="http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/4..." target="_blank" title="Creative Reviews">}img src="http://i1194.photobucket.com/albums/a..." border="0" alt="Photobucket" />
Replace the initial { with < Replace the } before img with < and replace the final ] with > and it should work...
This was also too wide for my sidebar, so I had to put it all the way down at the bottom of my page :-(...

Although with Barb's help, this button/link is working on my blog, I am just jumping in here because people are still having issues.
I still think that part of the problem with the original code is an uneven number of quotation marks. I have copied the code from Cambria's blog, and pasted it above. There are 5 quotation marks - I think it should be either 4 or 6.
I am nowhere near an expert in HTML, but I know enough to know that whenever you open with quote sign, it must be closed - somewhere. I tried to figure out where to move it, but all my tricks failed.
If I think of anything else, I will leave another post here.

I think you're right, Patricia - it looks like there should be a quotation mark after that first URL - there's one in front, but not one behind. The 2nd URL has one in front AND one behind, so I think you must be right. Add the quote after the 2nd URL and I think it would work.Like you, I know NOTHING about HTML except really minor stuff, but I'm just looking at it logically now that you've pointed it out ... LOL

I also have a smaller version for those blogger layouts where it won't take up so much space (although why you wouldn't want to shout it from the roof tops is beyond me) lol
I know this is right off topic, but it's the closest I could find anywhere. Has anyone successfully added a Goodreads Facebook Author tab?Step 3 at http://www.goodreads.com/author/dashb... seems to go momentarily to Facebook then re-divert to my home page on Goodreads.

Ummmm, I have no idea myself but you might try hitting up CS Splitter, I'm sure he'd be glad to help you and he's quick with getting back to people.
Yep, I have no idea why it wouldn't work; we both use blogspot. Jenn emailed me the code and it works now! :D
