Not only will I knock I shall ring the doorbell and kick the door open even if my literary analysis skills are lacking. Even if my grammar and sentence structure are lacking!

Madge, I just noticed that 11 people voted for Uncle Silas. So who was the one person you were hoping would not knock on the door? Just kidding. (Insert smiley face here.)

I'm looking forward to this one. So that's at least 8 more to go.

☯Emily Ginder I am going to read it even though I didn't vote for it and it is not the type of book I usually read. Can your count go over 10?

Lynnm | 3025 comments Can't wait to read it!

Emily - Of course the count can go over 10. We were hoping that the people who voted for it would be strong participators, but everybody is welcome.

Actually I didn't either. I was just teasing Madge.

message 18: by Will (new)

Will Bill I am excited about this book. This is going to be my first discussion. Normally I just browse the discussion and read at my own pace.

SusannaW (susannauk) | 42 comments Started reading. Sorry, can't stop at chapter 8! (Tho I do find the girl on the cover of the Penguin edition seriously freaky) lol

Laura | 16 comments well Susanna, I have the same problem, how to hold the reading at this point??

Silver, is it possible to have all the threads planned for this book?

That sounds like a good idea. I've already read Chapter 9 and made myself stop there.

Laura | 16 comments In the meantime, we can make some notes in order to give some insights into the new threads.

I'm up to chapter 20 and still don't want to put it down.

Laura | 16 comments I know the feeling Deborah.

Jenny | 57 comments I'm having a hard time finding the book in any of the local stores or the library. Finally broke down and bot it from Amazon. Hope to catch up this weekend. Sounds like you all like it.

Silver Hey I just wanted to let you all know that I am taking off this afternoon for Halloween plans. I will be back on the 31st, so I will be a couple days late in posting the next discussion section.

If there is anyone who just cannot wait to get things started you can go ahead and set up the next section by following the way I have done the previous threads.

Laura | 16 comments Enjoy your holiday Silver!!

Silver Thank you!

MadgeUK | 5213 comments Have a good Halloween Silver - be very Gothic!

Terri Lynn (terrilynnmerritts) I am having such a hard time not reading ahead on UNCLE SILAS. I haven't bought or borrowed the book but am reading it here on Goodreads. I found that the READ BOOK button on the UNCLE SILAS page lead me to it but I intend to buy a copy of this soon. I love this book. It is deliciously creepy and perfect for Halloween.
