Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments I did some simple research regarding poets laureate. I always find it helpful to get a bird's eye view of the whole picture. So here it is, regarding "poets laureate".

Below is a link to a web page listing the "Current State Poets Laureate":

My state is NY. New York's current poet laureate is Jean Valentine.

The current official title for the U.S. poet laureate is:
Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress
Formerly, it was: Consultant in Poetry to the Library of Congress
The title is commonly referred to as the United States Poet Laureate.

The current United States Poet Laureate is Philip Levine.

Details about the United States Poet Laureate can be found at:

Who is your state's poet laureate?

Joy H. (joyofglensfalls) | 16697 comments Once

Once there was a woodcutter,
when he asked me to marry him
the woman in the grocery store said
You look like you lost your last friend.
First love!
When we broke up
it was as if the last egg in the house
got dropped on the broken floor.
This world is everywhere! The woman said,
You won’t go unsampled!
