Julie | 168 comments I spent much of my time reading this book while enjoying a huge cup of English Breakfast tea (decaf, no milk or sugar, preferably lukewarm). Also, the only copy at my library was the large-print edition. So I felt very immersed in Major Pettigrew's world: sipping tea and reading 600 pages in size 20 font. I found this is be far more hilarious than it probably is, but I thought I would share! :)

I thought it was just me. It too has been a slow read for me. Will have to go home and get some herbal tea and try again. I just got into work, and brought my Kindle to show my boss. He's thinking of getting one. I'll show him some of the books we/I've downloaded.

I just noticed at the very back of my book that there are Reading Group Questions and Topics for Discussion, if you are looking for some ideas.

Julie! I LOOOOOVE your idea of drinking tea while reading (though I'd prefer not the large-print edition to go with it.)

I really like this book--I have about 100 pages to go, and it's so understated and ironic, that of course I'm in freaking love with the Major.
