Mehnaz Gosh I cried so much after reading this...just wanted to know if I was the only one with such emotions...

Minna Omg he always makes me cry. once i was reading his book, The Last Song, and sobbing as usual, and my mom came into the room and asked what was wrong with me and i started beating the book against my bed. He write so well but it is soooooooooooo sad, ugh. have you seen the movie? that is how i got into this book, they have similar plots but some of the details are blurred, but that one made me cry the whole end of the movie. :'(

Juliet I don't really cry that much, but I was overwhelmingly sad as this book finished up. I think I cried at the movie though. I liked it just a tad better, but both are amazing.

yes i have seen the movie...ya the plots are similar, but the dialogues of the movie were more touchy, I mean when Jamie says that she's afraid, but only of going away from Landon...and the telescope thing was truly awesome...this is the first book i've read written by Nicholas Sparks and i think i'm gonna go for more :)

Tiff I'm a sap. A cry during a lot of movies. And my bf thinks it's funny I "lol" during books and even cry. This one was definitely a tear-jerker.

Lupita i always cry when landon is crying to his dad

Lisa absolutetly! one of my favorite Sparks books

iramahati melody I did! For both movies and book. More tears for the movie, even after watching in for the 10th time or more... T_T

Stacy Hortaridis I cried when I read it and when I saw the movie. Added it to my when I need to cry movies.

tara oh definitely! I still cry and have read the book (and watched the film) numerous times!

Deona cried the whole time and read it straight through. My face was puffy and swollen, I haven't cried that much from my own personal heartbreaks or at funerals in my own family(they had all lived long happy lives). It is hard when innocence ones die young!

message 12: by Lucille (last edited Sep 18, 2011 02:59PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lucille I did. They had true love and they didn't get to be together longer. :(

I love the movie version. Made me cry so much more. Mandy Moore fits the character.

Deona Agree Mandy Moore so fit that role!!!

message 14: by Beck (new) - rated it 5 stars

Beck Murphy I saw the movie first, then read the book. I cried in the movie, think I've see it about 10 times, cry every single time. But I didn't cry in the book.

message 15: by Beck (new) - rated it 5 stars

Beck Murphy Also, Mandy Moore is my favourite actress.

Abhishek Kumar I did cry and it happened again while reading BEST OF ME 3

Maria Ella I cried both on the movie and book.

In the movie, it was the time when I was able to reflect on what Jamie mentioned that no matter how much you want to rant and be mad, you cannot blame God. The tear fell at exact point when she said, "I do not need a reason to be angry with God."

In the book, I shed a tear when Landon opened his gift and it was the bible that Jamie most treasured.

Both are tear-jerkers and very nice.

Daisy I have cried at nearly every single one of his books!
A Walk to Remember, Safe Haven, Message in a Bottle and The Guardian are probably the ones that I cried at the hardest.
I absolutely adore Nicholas Sparks, I think he is one of the best authors in the romance genre.

No tears actully left my eyes but they were stining from holding them back.

Normandy I cried watching the movie and reading the book. I cried alot. Enough said.

Kirsty Bicknell I haven't seen the movie of A Walk to Remember . . . I agree that most of Nicholas Sparks' books make me cry though . . .he has a way of drawing you in and making you feel as though you are part of character's lives . . . . The Notebook, The Wedding, The Last Song (the film is the WORST for me!!!) . . . . but A Walk to Remember was one of the most tissue-requiring ones LOL!!!!

Nicholas Sparks is the one of the best authors ever. His books are full of emotion and love. I have cried for almost all of his books and i have read every single a novel he has written.I really want to see the movie for A Walk to Remember but I'm afraid that it will ruin the book. I also LOVEEEEE The Notebook, The Last Song, The Wedding, Dear John and Message in a Bottle!

Angela Davis I cried because it was sad. It is by far one of my favoriite books by Nicholas Sparks.

Rachel I am not a crier...but yes my throat was tight and i was really sad for days...!

message 27: by Imke (new) - rated it 5 stars

Imke i think it's really hard not to cry while reading this book! cried almost the whole book my mother asked me several times if there was something wrong with me. btw i haven't read a Sparks book without crying and before Sparks I never cried while reading a book.

Rhonda Rosenberger This was my first Nicholas Sparks book, the one that got me hooked for life. The story unfolded perfectly to set up the ending. I could help for crying.

Stacey This was the first book I ever read by Nicholas Sparks. It isn't my norm so I picked it up because I wanted to watch the movie someday.

Boy, did I cry...and cry...and cry...and cry! I was on the bus coming home from work and felt like such an ass for blubbering like a baby on my way home, I got off about 5 stops ahead of mine so I could cry in peace and get it out before I got home.

The movie didn't make me cry like that. Maybe I was just hormonal during that time, I don't know but I have only ever cried like that from a book maybe 5 times. This one really got me!

Richelle Velasco I cried when I read A Walk to Remember. I just can't help myself. Something in those words written touches my heart and let me be that emotional about the story.

message 31: by Aneta (new)

Aneta It was a sad book but so true. I cried the last few chapters but could not put the book down. I read the whole book within one day. It was a great book and I will read it again. I was kind of upset about the ending of the book, but at least the love is still there 40 years later. That's what you call true love and the bond they shared that was never broken.

Anna Paul I tried not to cry but i cried buckets! No shame in admitting it!

message 33: by Ree (last edited Oct 09, 2012 10:44AM) (new) - rated it 2 stars

Ree Um, no. I didn't.

Anna Paul well i guess we are all different people who react differently!
