Geraldine (MissGee) Matiwane Okay guys! So I finished reading once again Richelle mead's amazing work, I'm talking about BLOODLINES! I loved it! infact, I can't wait for the next series!
Sorry to breaks this to fan of Dimitri, but I think I'm starting to fall in love with Adrian(who knows, I might always change my mind, as the series continues). What do you think? should Sydney get with Adrian? I hope they do(they were quite closeto that process and he was starting....well...to move on after what happened with Roza....that was when Dimika have to show up....nooooooo)!
Again, loved the teacher...what's her name again....the one who gets her last name wrong! ahah funny lady!
I feel sad for poor little Jill, especially since after her bf(Lee) was killed...but I thought he deserved it though....sorry Jill, Micah will cover his place soon(maybe he can even do better job than Lee with the whole relationship thing)! Let's not forget Eddie..like that kid...hope he stays as Jills Guildian....4eva!

vasiliki totally loved the book!bravo girl-u made the right choice by coming to our team..of course andrian's the best<3!to be honest i kinda miss rose n' lissa but sydney's character is very interesting too..with all the fear she's got for my magic & vampires!i don't know if she'll be with andrian 'cause even though they both like each other he's not over rose yet n' she's raised to hate him!!richelle may solve these isssues at the 3rd book..but i absolutely want a happy ending for andrian!!
i think that jill won't stay alone for a lot of time..she's gor eddie to comfort her!!^-^

I agree! I just so hope that adrain moves on...well...move on with sydney, sure they have their little fights which I think is what even brings them closer! but I hope it all turns out great! Like Richelle always does!

Elena Okay, I've laid out my opinions a billion times already in other discussions haha, so I'll just make a quick comment on it right now.

I loved Bloodlines.
Sincerely.
I missed Rose's POV, I admit, but liked Sydney's, too.
You see, she's different.
I heard somebody complaining this book wasn't as interesting as the ones from VA, that Sydney wasn't catchy enough.
Well, I think Richelle Mead did a really good job.
She described Sydney, in Blood Promise, like that.
Calm, responsible, independent.
That's how she pictured her in Bloodlines.
She just was loyal to the character not ever changing it.
I think I would have disliked the book, if to make it interesting she had changed Sydney's features, because she wouldn't be the same as we know her.
And she did a good choice in choosing her as the main character.
An alchemist is totally different story, it's a good idea.
I like how she's slowly developing the plot in this one, taking it easy.
As always, Richelle's writing is oh-so-good.
About the other characters, I'm really happy I got the change to hear from them again.
Especially Adrian hah. I feel he's maturing more and more in each book.
Well, what else?
Can't wait for the Golden Lily, looking forward to it!

Charlene Frost I absolutly loved the book I think sydney and adrian will end up together it will probably be hard and people prob wont like it but come on when has any relationship been easy in any of these books lol def cant wait for the golden lily to come out....

Darlene This book didn't disappoint me (well except for Jill. She annoyed me sooo much). AdrianxSydney :D

message 7: by M. (new) - rated it 3 stars

M. Loved the book. Comparing it with the first VA book, I like Bloodlines better. Maybe because the world is already built, or because I like Sydney's POV better than Rose's. Dunno. Also, Adrian was a star.
The only negative aspect of it and I hope RM fixes it in the subsequent books was how the story evolved around Jill. I mentioned this before in other discussion topics about Bloodlines. I found out of character that Eddie and Sydney encouraged Jill's relationship with Lee. How could they not think it was creepy that Lee, being a college guy, was interested in a 15 year old was beyond me. The fact that she was hiding from people who wanted to kill her didn't cross their minds when they let her date a mere stranger? I also thought that Eddie was way too absent throughout the book. Wasn't he supposed to be protecting Jill? For most part, Jill was not with him.
And don't get me started on the fact that Eddie thinks it's a good idea for Jill to date a human. He says he wants her to be happy, but how can she be happy when everyone knows that if she ever got together with Micah, it would be a doomed relationship? It makes me wonder if RM ran out of creative juices while writing the Jill part and started creating unnecessary drama, or maybe she just wanted to create a love triangle in the series at any cost even if it doesn't make any sense.

Kallie Hudson i loved this book and i so agree with u about Adrian

I agree with uu lol! poor Jill...but let's hope everything works out well....:)

Steffi I love Bloodlines, of course you can't compare Sydney with Rose but both are awesome in their one way and i think it's more interessting that way. I wouldn't have liked it if Sydney would have change her personality just to make her more like Rose. I also all for Adrian i like him as well as Dimitri.

Shana Loved the book! I don't know who Sydney will end up with because there were so many guys introduced and more to come I'm sure. Who was the guy that liked her in the last VA book? It was another alchemist, I think.

Fangs for the Fantasy It wasn't awful but I can't say i loved it. The middle of the book was just so slow - it seemed to spend a long time on minor school days that didn't matter all that much rather than addressing the more ematy sections of the plot. Needed better pacing methinks

rehathebookghoul amazing book. yeah sydney's teacher was funny. i felt very bad for adrian in last sacrifice, now i m happy 4 him
