I was just confuse when i read the book after I watched the movie..The characters were not the same...

The rise of the new king hints toward the same kingdom as Duncan had made. I saw this play, at a theatre, along with reading the book, (I would have been a little lost otherwise in the political details) and I thought it was clear that the final lines drew a parallel toward the beginning.

Every movie has to be made using interpretations. This is how plays are written, for there is always room for a director to make creative role play. This open minded script makes a work like this timeless.
