User's private notes

Im not sure if this has been posted before and Im not sure where to post this; so apologies in advance.

This is about the private notes section. In a book page, there is a space where a user can write notes about the book which is visible only to that user. There seems to be a limit to how much I can write there. Even after pressing the "bigger" button twice, some of the text Ive typed are removed after pressing save.

Suggestion: (1) increase the word/character limit; or
(2) place a notification that below the text box stating how many characters are left.
