What Magical Textbook would you want JK to write?
Chelsea Clifton Chelsea Sep 05, 2011 07:33PM
I bought this in the pack with the Beast book.. and although they were cute, I would have much proferred JK to write something more like an actual textbook or novel. This is really just a little side-project (I know that is what these literally were..), whereas I would rather have huge volumes on this stuff.

Does anyone else agree? What other textbooks would you want JK to write?

Hogwarts, A History I would love to read about the history that isn't mentioned in the HP books, know all the little nuances of Hogwarts and sound like Hermione in the first book when she happily informs everyone how the Great Hall ceiling works.

"The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore." I'd love to read that book from beginning to end! Even if Rita Skeeter was the one who wrote it lol

Oo a copy of Advanced Potion Making with all of Snapes notes in it would be fantastic I'd also like to see Hogwarts, A History and some of Lockharts books :p

Monster book of monsters! Even with a furry cover haha.

I'd want a magic atlas. Different schools, notes on the magical cultures...

Snape's copy of Advanced Potion Making, Hogwarts:A History, A History of Magic

I think that Rowling should write Hogwarts, a history. She should also do the Half-Blood Prince's textbook with Snape's notes. And a Parceltounge guide and some brief phrases that HP fans could learn.

JK Rowling's gonna make an HP encyclopedia!!!!!!!!!1

Carole IMO Pottermore *is* the encyclopedia.

Hogwarts, a History and the Half-Blood Prince's book! (Snape's potions book). But no, there should not be large volumes because there's not much more to be said, is there? I wouldn't object, though, because I'm a total HP fanatic... =D

Hogwarts: A History, hands down.

Hogwarts A History, Half Blood Prince journal, and a LockHart book

Hogwarts, A History
Arithmancy
The one about Horcruxes
Standard Book of Spells
Apparition guidebook
Snape's potion book
Because all of those would be awesome!

Hogwarts: A History and the Standard Book of Spells Grades 1-7

I want to see a transfiguration book.

Any of the textbooks would be great! No, scratch that - ALL of the books. But I'd especially like to see Moste Potente Potions.

Hogwarts, A History. And a copy of the Half-blood prince's Advanced Potion Making. But I would love to have that book from the Philosophers' stone film, the one with the head screaming at Harry

Hogwarts, a History might be quite interesting!

I wish JKR would write some of these books, I think she'd have a hoot doing it. I'd love to read Hogwarts: A History.

Monter book of monsters

Hogwarts, a History and A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot

Everything!

Advanced Potionmaking (with Snape's notes)
Lockhart's books
A History of Magic
Hogwarts, a History
The Monster book of Monsters

I really don't understand Rowlings hesitation to write about her fantastic world, it's rubbish. Look at the Lord of the rings, Tolkien wrote dozens of history books and companion book. Harry Potter should have twice the amount lotr has!!!!!!

I think we all agree that Hogwarts, a history would be awesome, I would also like to see a history of magic and the defense against the dark arts textbook (I can't remember the title but certainly not the one that Umbridge used!. and all of Lockhart'S books cuz they would be a riot

Hogwarts, A history.

I would want The Standard Book of Spells cause i would love to see all the spells written down. I have been trying to make a list of them for ages but never have time. Hogwarts: A History because i want to read all about Hogwarts and cause i secretly would love to say; Well if you had bothered to read Hogwarts: A History you would know that! LOL. Classic Hermione.

The entire Hogwarts' Library of course!! haha, no, seriously, I suppose Hogwarts, A History

A more detailed book about creatures would be nice. It could include Beings and Spirits too, and perhaps plants.
I'd love History books too...
Also, something about magic around the world, I was always curious about magic in other countries and loved the little glimpses that were shown of it.

Any book from the restricted section. Preferably not the one about horcruxes thouuuu.

Hogwarts, a History. Definitely.

Or like a contemplation of all the Spell Books.

Hogwarts, A History <3

A Defense Against the Dark Arts book wouldn't hurt either !

A History of Magic, that would be good and Howarts: A History is high up there for me too.

Definitely Hogwarts, a History. One of their herbology or divination textbooks could be cool too.

I thought it was a great idea to do the text books and that she did them really well. It would be great to have Hogwarts A History out of all of them though.

I don't know how many fans would have the patience to read an entire textbook.
I think "Hogwarts, A History" would be interesting.

MORE RON'S SIDE NOTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The biting book about creatures! I want a living book! Ehm, on a more serious note the history of Hogwarts would be interesting.

Anything with Uric the Oddball in it! And maybe something related to the Goblin Wars... I love history, I can't help it!

I would love to write all types. It would be fun.
