I'm down for this. Great idea. Are we making our books available free anywhere for those who want to participate (if we're authors) or are we buying? Just getting the 411. I am happy to make mine available free if anyone was going to choose it - but I also don't want to rock the boat, making mine available free and then messing w/ the whole lot of a fair and balanced system.
Yes, I ask the same as James. At the moment, I'm also reading a list of self pub/ indies. Here it is:1- Grimsley Hollow-The Chosen One (Nicole Storey-Bailey)
2- The Eternal Gift: The Eternal Series vol.1 (Candy Crum)
3- Raven (Suzy Turner)
4- Home Lost: Clarion of Destiny vol.1 (Franz McLaren)
5- Driving to BelAir: A Novella (William G. Jones)
6- Escaping Entry (Benedict Martin)
7- The Unwilling Bride (Candy-Ann Little)
8- The Whole Truth: series Living with the Truth (Jim Murdoch)
9- The Halloween Collection (The Indie Eclective)
10- The Keepers (Monique James O’Connor)
I hope to add some more to this list =)
Great idea!I read at least one indie book per week! For this challenge, I will read Discontents by James Wallace Birch from the bookshelf.
Danielle wrote: "Writers gotta eat like everyone else :) I say purchase the book. What does everyone else think?"I agree. I have no problem spending a few bucks on y'all. =)
I went ahead and purchased. I'm going to read For Every Action: There Are Consequences by Gail Baugniet
I have read and reviewed James Wallace Birch's Discontents. Read the review here:http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I like this idea and would like to participate. I've added my new book to the bookshelf in case anyone wants to choose it and will be selecting a book to purchase and read.
I added mine. I don't know if I'll meet the challenge by reading something by Dec. 21. I've got editing gigs (thank you, God!) at the moment, so all my reading is for work. But when the next plateau comes, I would like to participate in this. Great idea.
I love this idea! And I think I added my latest release, TIDES OF PASSION. It won the Reader's Choice for Best Historical on it's first publishing run. This time -- all Indie, which I'm loving! I'm a huge reader, too, and will try to get to one off the list this weekend.Let me know if mine did not hit. I'm not savvy with Goodreads.
Happy reading, guys!
