April eclecticbookworm I finished Ashfall a couple days ago by Mike Mullin~ it was very good and I'm looking forward to finishing the series! :) Anyone else read it yet?

message 52: by Tytti (new)

Tytti (tyttih) Hi!
I'm currently reading 3 books. A Game of Thrones, Days of Blood & Starlight and Linger.

message 53: by Kayla (new)

Kayla Hutchinson (kaylahutchinson) I'm 21, going on 22, and graduating from the University of Kentucky in December. I'm obsessed with YA novels, but mainly just obsessed with reading. I'm currently reading The Source by J.D. Horn. It's the second book in his series.

Graham & Wolf The Uncanny (graham_and_wolf) | 10 comments We're reading 'Inhuman' by Kat Falls. So far, we're impressed. We're hoping to read 'A Game of Thrones' one of these days . . .

message 55: by Mary (new)

Mary (irishgirly) | 3 comments Hi Valerie, the author is Amanda Maciel. I'm now on pg 93 and still hate the character. I'm trying to figure out if the author is going to spin this around somehow to illicit sympathy for the bullies. It is a strong book.

Thanks Mary. I looked it up and it sounds pretty good. Let me know how it turns out.

Jess (myreadingdress) | 3 comments Hi! I'm currently reading A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It's quite different reading something supernatural directed towards an adult demographic. Nonetheless, it is an interesting read!

message 58: by SthTx Dawn (new)

SthTx Dawn (dawn99) | 16 comments I am almost finished with Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock. A haunting realistic fiction novel that features a suicidal teen. If you like your main characters to be run of the mill and easy to understand this is not the novel for you. Free download from ya sync.

Graham & Wolf The Uncanny (graham_and_wolf) | 10 comments We're straying outside of YA with a historical mystery set in Victorian London, 'Fatal Enquiry,' by Will Thomas. We're also reading 'I Am Number Four,' by Pittacus Lore, which is YA.

message 60: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Sparkle I'm now reading The Maze Runner and I really like it so far. I'm excited that the movie will be coming out soon too.

message 61: by Katie (new)

Katie (Foundinfaerietales) (foundinfaerietales) Hi! I'm reading (I guess "listening to" is a better way to phrase it) Starters by Lissa Price. It's part of a larger list of books that my brother is reading off of the Gateway reading list. He's starting high school this year, and this is the reading list recomended for his age range. My mom and I are reading them with him in support, but also because we both really like YA, and it's a great way to find books we may not pick up otherwise.

Sounds interesting.

That's really cool. Is 'Starters' good?

It's been a slow start, but I'm finally getting into it. It's hard when I have to keep pausing the story. I listen to books mostly while I'm at work, so I have to stop and talk to coworkers occasionally.

message 65: by Abigail (new)

Abigail | 1 comments Hi. I'm new to the group thing. But I don't have many people to talk about books to, so I thought I'd try this. I'm currently reading Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. Its surprisingly poignant and enchanting at the same time.

message 66: by Judy (new)

Judy | 9 comments Hi! I'm reading/listening to Written in my Own Heart's Blood by Diana Gabaldon. It is slow going thus far--I haven't found answers to many of the cliff hangers left from the last book but it is early going and a long book. I just finished The Fifth Wave and can't get it out of my head! Anxious for the sequel in September I think.

message 67: by James (new)

James D | 1 comments I'm reading The Fault in Our Pants A Parody of "The Fault in Our Stars" by Steve Lookner after reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

message 68: by Laura (new)

Laura Albins (lauraalbins) | 1 comments Hi, I just finished Solstice at Stonewylde by Kit Berry. It's the third in a series of excellent books about a very ill girl who goes to recover at a seemingly idyllic estate in the countryside. Of course, not all is as it seems.
Next I'm going to tackle Allegiant. I've been putting it off as I didn't really fancy it after all the negative responses but loved Divergent so feel I should at least see the story through.

message 69: by Judy (new)

Judy | 9 comments Laura I felt conflicted after reading Allegiant but the more I thought about it the more I liked it. Would love to discuss after you finish.

message 70: by Amy (new)

Amy Currently reading Illusive which I'm loving!

message 71: by Malia (new)

Malia (calypso007) Hi,
I just finished Nina LaCour's 'Hold Still' and am now reading 'Counting Backwards'. I read Tanya Byrne's books before that and can recommend them for YA fans who like a bit of mystery thrown in.

message 72: by Amber (new)

Amber Smith | 40 comments I am reading A Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin.

message 73: by Jill Ray (new)

Jill Ray Camp (jillray) | 2 comments I am finishing up Unsouled, book 3 in the unwind series. It's okay, but I am getting a bit tired of the story. I may not read book 4 right away. Ready to read Maze Runner.

message 74: by Judy (new)
