Yes, but the only reason Rachel was ever attracted to Percy in the first place is be cuz he "opened the door to all this". Like, when you KNOW someone is going to open new opportunities 4 u, and possibly begin a new life, wouldn't you be attracted to them too? I know I would. Also, Percy IS cute, so that factor doesn't hurt his chances. But Rachel realized in the end that she didn't really LIKE Percy that way, even though he's a great guy. She was more attracted to him because he was like the key to the world she was meant to be in.

Opposites attract is a myth. The truth is that Annabeth’s relationship with Percy brings out the worst in her and therefore not a good fit. Annabeth’s been in love with Luke for most of the first series which makes Percy more of a rebound for her anyway, even if the author doesn’t treat it as one. Percy and Rachel have a much healthier relationship, she could’ve given him the normality he’s always craved instead of him getting dragged into more craziness like Annabeth has been doing (i.e. Magnus Chase). Percabeth are too different to ever work out long term, they fight too much, they’re unhealthy and obsessive and just all around a bad idea.
