Who do you think Percy should have been with Annabeth or Rachel?
I totally agree with Artemis. That's why annabeth's my favorite character- she's unlike any character I've ever seen!

Well, I don't really see how I said anything that could have offended you. My comment wasn't even directed towards you. All that aside, I must admit you are the first person I've heard to make any valid points for Annabeth , and for that I applaud you. However, I still stand by the fact that I think Rachel is a much better match for Percy than Annabeth. Maybe it's because I'm a little tired of authors (not just Riordan) using the whole "Animosity? IT MUST BE LOVE!" trope. I feel like the whole relationship was really forced on the reader and that I never really saw Percy and Annabeth develop into the relationship they have currently in the series. Maybe it all happened "offstage" but I think that's just a mark of poor character development. You could say the same for Rachel and Percy, I suppose (as far as development goes), but I dislike Annabeth as a character so by default I choose Percy/Rachel. Like I said before, Annabeth's sassiness is portrayed as a positive attribute when it shouldn't be. Yes, she is bossy and pushy but I don't feel convinced as a reader that those come across as her "flaws" in the writing. Like Hillary said, Annabeth is all telling and no show. Another thing, I'm pretty sure I've seen PLENTY of characters that are similar to Annabeth with ACTUAL flaws and better development *cough*Hermione*cough* That's just my opinion though, feel free to have yours. :)

ANNABETH!!!!!!!!!!!! I think Rachel was just something to make the readers going crazy that the author did to scare us. Rachel... i liked her, but she seemed too ...i don't know, but she was just a really (sorry if i seem rude) stupid road block.
ANNABETH!!!!!! Percy only knew her for the last two books. He knew Annabeth throughout the series

Annabeth, she was way cooler and more bad ass, Rachel could see through stuff but she was annoying and got all pissed when he went to save the world instead of going on vacation with her, who does that. Rachel was fine, but not the one for Percy.

i personally feel that percy will be with ANNABETH because i mean they already kissed underwater for crying out loud and it said in the lost hero that they are already boyfriend and girlfriend
yeah but she thought of luke as a brother and and he betrayed her and thats not a good way to end a relationship in my opinion and by the way she hates him now so instead she went for percy to comfort her in the way that luke had done BEFORE he had betrayed her

Hey... i was slightly offended at that! I mean, her sassiniess is EXACTLY why I like her! And, just because someone is sassy doesn't mean they don't have any flaws. It may be written that why because you see it through Percy's eyes, but there's deffinitely some seriously human flaws she has. For one, she's TOO proud. She even admitted it herself. And she's bossy, and kinda pushy. But that's because she wants to hide her more "vulnerble" side. She knows everything about tactics, so why wouldn't this be one? She is a good friend and will stay true. She is strong, and knows what needs to be done to get the train moving. Besides, she stayed SO loyal to Percy, and they had some really good moments. Annnabeth thought he was going to DIE and instead of bursting out crying and pleading with him not to go like a pitiful little girl, she just kissed him. Just like that and said "Good luck Seaweed Brain" or something along the lines. I don't know about you, but I thought there was some serious chemistry.
