Do you think that Breaking Dawn RUINED the Twiligt Saga book series? Why or Why not?

In my opinion, Breaking Dawn was completely unecessary. I think it destroyed the world built up in the first three books. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, Stephanie was originally only offered a three-book deal; BD came later on. I went to her Book Discussion tour the day following the release of the BD book, and she tried to pacify all us angry fans by saying that BD was all apart of the original storyline, which I believe is a lie. -__- BD is COMPLETELY off-base from the other 3 wonderful books..... What do YOU think?? :)

It sucked. Awful. Terrible. Bad.

BD for me was a disappointment. I wasn't a big fan of the other 3 books but I found them fun to read. But seriously, BD was a joke.
Ok, Bella and Edward get married. I guess we all expected that. Then Bella falls pregnant. Ok, that is weird. The name of the baby: even weirder. Jacob imprinting on the baby: what the... the so-called fight even though nothing but really nothing happens. Sorry, this book was bad.

Trying to finish it was like poking needles in my eyes. It seemed weird and out of place. Plus it was strange. Renesmee? The big bad Volturi doing nothing? Jacob imprinting on a child? To me it's better to pretend this book just didn't happen.

BD was so terrible....the only book that I've ever read that I wanted to toss across the room!!!! Wish that I never read it!

SM shud hve left it to the readers to imagine what happened nxt. It would've been better that way. Now, it's like she's tucked us into a warm, cosy bed saying "Well, everything turns out for the best in this world, sweeties. Goodnite." Um, reality check.

NO IT DOESN'T!

I think ecclipse was the best of the twilight series, and i had very high expectations for breaking dawn, with the wedding... the babie.. everything, but when it came to it... it kind went down hill from when bella became a vamp because all the excitement was taken.. and nothing happend after that! just stuff... i was waiting for something to happen. Then the big fight came and i was like yey! .. got really exciting... BUT THEN.... NOTHING HAPPEND!! .. i was so disapointed!. So i think breaking dawn did let down the twilight series.

I wasn't really a fan of Breaking Dawn... The first three books were wonderful, and I wouldn't mind a fourth book if she wrote it differently.

MissWhitneyB i agree :) although Eclipse was my favorite of the series, a fourth book wouldve been bearable if it was actually decnet. BD was a let-down :/

Breaking Dawn was (in my opinion) the best book of the four... I couldn't put it down.

I think all of the books are amazing , the four of them. And honestly Breaking Dawn is my favorite I took time to read it , took attention to all of the details and I enjoyed a lot. So I don't agree with you ,sorry

I had to force myself to finish this book. I feel that Meyer was really reaching in this book to just finish the series or whatever she was doing. I hope they do better with the movies (as I know my daughter will be dragging me to them).

I wouldn't say that BD is terrible. I mean Meyer showed the reader how it feels (and works, for that matter) to be a vampire and a werewolf. I don't really understand why people claim that nothing happens in this book. I'd say it's on the contrary. So many things happen on so many level.

I didn't miss the battle scenes. It's true that nobody dies, but it's not because they weren't prepared to. Those last scenes were very enjoyable (for me), because I could see the true colors of the Volturi. (Not to mention the complaining HP fans for killing off their favorite characters - nothing's ever good enough attitude.)

That imprint part was a little odd, I admit. But I think Meyer tries to say that it is beyond mere sexual attraction. It reminds me of Sesshomaru's and Rin's relationship, from Inuyasha.

I think she needed to end it with Bella becoming a vampire and Jacob getting a life (<3) but i think it was random and it didn't really go with the rest of the series well

It was rushed.... could've been better.

mmmmmmm, I'm surprised of the comments, I LOVE BD, it was the only book i read 5 times, dodging Jacob's point of view each time except the first time (only cuz I'm on team Edward :D) but I found it a beautiful and needed addition to the series, the only weird point was when the Dog loves Nessie but when he explains that it's not the normal love thing, I became to accept it, I'm sure that I'd like to read a fifth one actually telling us how Nessie became and maybe the Cullens ruling the vampire world instead of the Voltori
