Nancy Brady (minesayn) | 162 comments @Dot....let me know what you think of this one. I read it for a book group at the library a year or so ago.

I am reading several different books so I am in
Virginia (Susan Wiggs' The Horseman's Daughter),
Ohio and Indiana (Jessamyn West's The Friendly Persuasion--September's library book group read), and
Vermont (Chris Bohjalian's Midwives).

I'm also reading 100 Voices: An Oral History of Ayn Rand so no particular location as they are interviews of friends, family, and various persons that knew Ayn Rand through the years (the 20s to 80s...truly fascinating look at this author).

Hi Nancy...I just finished the book last night. I thought it was an amazing account of living in Africa...she presents the facts of her life without judgement and seems to truly love Africa in spite of the hardships suffered by the people there during wars and drought. I'm somewhat uncomfortable with the whole British Colonial attitude ...the author doesn't really comment on this so the reader is left to draw his/her own conclusions. I was left feeling grateful that I live in a peaceful country.

Carol Sams | 5 comments well Philip Jenkins has me reading about the phrase "Spiritual Agnostic”. I believe this character is from Mercury, given the nature of its being. Is it something or is it nothing!
