I just finished reading Lone Star Trail the first in the Texas Trails- Morgan Family Series. Can't wait to start on Captive Trail. This book was EXCELLENT!
I am trying to work on my NetGalley pile of books. The other day I listed ALL of Janet & Jillian's books on my blog and as I was doing it I wanted to read every one again. I finally have you up there too now. I have to read the Sushi series as well. I have the first and last one so I'm getting closer :-)
Right now, I'm reading Abomination by Colleen Coble. Over the weekend I finished Knight's Ardor. It was pretty good. It could have used a little more action and a little more time in the hero's POV, but I liked the story.

I liked Abomination a lot!
Just finished Heiress by Susan May Warren. This could be another award-winning book for her. Fabulous retelling of the story of Issac and Esau, but with sisters. Now reading The Doctor's Lady by Jody Hedlund.
Danger, danger...! I finally succumbed and got a smartphone. A Samsung Galaxy with the Kindle app pre-installed. Now I can read ebooks without being tied to a computer. This is not good for continuing to be part of the productive world...
I got a smart phone about six weeks ago and was so frustrated the first few weeks that my phone was smarter than I was!
Judy wrote: "I got a smart phone about six weeks ago and was so frustrated the first few weeks that my phone was smarter than I was!"Even making a phone call from my contact list has turned into a major event. I'm sure I'll love this over time (except that I got a Galaxy two days before Samsung announced that the new model comes out this month). It's just going to take a LONG while.
Typing anything is a bear. And I've got to figure out how to get stuff off my home screen. Not sure how I got some of my contacts on, but I definitely want them off.
I had to work through that stuff too.Hubby puts all kinds of stuff on his but I like mine basic. Although I have a few apps like my nook and kindle and some others. Right now I am having blog issues and have to learn html I guess. I found out that it don't show up the same on IE and Firefox (I use Chrome). I feel too old to learn sometimes.
What kind of issues are you having, Judy? Hit me offline. pwriter1[at]yahoo[dot]com. I may be able to help. I find that a lot has to do with all the extra html that is inserted by Blogger, MS Word and other programs that bloggers often use. I tend to edit my html and strip all that extra crap out.

You are going to love having your books on your phone! Even though my Nook is very light, I don't always carry it with me and if I'm in a jam or waiting for my hubby, I'll whip out my phone and read a little using my Nook app.

LOL! I felt that way, too! I still don't know how to use even half of what my smart phone does.

Ditto what Patricia said, there is a lot of extra html crap that gets inserted if you copy and paste from MS word. I started copying and pasting from a basic text program instead.

As for what I am reading right now....I am reading Dangerous Allies by Renee Ryan so that I can read Courting the Enemy (book 2) for NetGalley.
LOL! Y'all are making me glad I'm such a technological dinosaur! My phone is about ten years old, no cover, no internet, and tape holding the back on.
That looks like a fun book Amancay!I finished Dangerous Allies and now I'm reading Renee Ryan's Courting the Enemy for NetGalley. I have Shirlee McCoy on NetGalley as well and that would mean reading three books first (all in the series) which would get another 3 books off my shelf :-)
But a few of my series books are coming out in September as well....
I started Mary Coneally's "Out of Control" last night. I'm 3/4 of the way through! Love it!! Next, I'm reading "The Help." I didn't read it when it came out, but intended to. I'd like to see the movie, but determined to read the book first. If I could read another as good as Mary's, though, I'd skip "The Help" altogether!
I am going to start Reading Deep Cover by Sandra Orchard.. I'm so torn over what books to read but I decided the most fair thing is to work on my NetGalley list.

How were those Renee Ryan books?

ROFL!!!!

Camy asked: How were those Renee Ryan books?"They were both good but the Courting the Enemy was a little less tense as I did not have to be sneaking around in Germany, I was in Florida on US soil :-)
Now I'm Reading The Heroes for Hire series by Shirlee McCoy. I'm on the the 3rd book- Running Blind and then I can read the NetGalley book Lone Protector.
I may go back and read her previous 7 books so that I will have all of her books read and off the shelf. If I had known they were all connected in ways I would have started from book 1 but I had already read the Sinclair brothers awhile back.

Looking forward to Book 2 in the series now.

Oops, I didn't see this earlier. I didn't realize Shirlee's series was so intertwined. I think I have them all, though.

I enjoyed the first two and received the 3rd one as well. It won't come out until October though so I'm reading some others first. They were soooo good!
I'm in the middle of "The Doctor's Lady" by Jody Hedlund. Can't put it down! I'm usually a suspense/mystery reader, but this book has my spellbound.

I wanna to read that.
Judy wrote: "I got a smart phone about six weeks ago and was so frustrated the first few weeks that my phone was smarter than I was!"humm... That is interesting....
They are quite smart you know Terri :-)It has to be the phone is smart or else it would mean that I am not
Camy wrote: "Bridesmaid LottoThat looks like such a cute book! How was it?"
it was good... I really enjoyed it, clean (no details on private relations...) and a great journey with a pile of interesting characters.
I followed it up with the 2nd book in the series, straight up
Gamble on Engagement, also a good read... although i get exasperated at times with heroines making more circles than necessary... I still enjoyed it!

They're not officially available through online bookstores until probably 2013 or so. Right now they're only available through the Guideposts' book club.
Anyway, I finished my edits today! Yay! So now I am deciding what book to read next.
Oh actually, I lied, I have been reading, I started Behind the Badge by Susan Sleeman a couple days ago while I was waiting for my husband (I started reading it on the Nook application on my iPhone).
How about you guys?
