I still need to read the second Chemical Garden book. My motivation hasn't been there, but I would like to find the time at some point.

Just saw a friend reading book 3 and didn't realize it was out already.

Maree | 249 comments Oh it is? See how well I pay attention. I'll have to grab that when I get back. I didn't realize there was a 1.5 for this series too.

Reflecting on the second book, I have to wonder if I'm disappointed with it because it wasn't what I was expecting. I wanted to see the dystopian world, now that they were out in it, and I didn't feel we saw much of it. But what we did see was interesting in a different way. It just wasn't all the cool stuff I was hoping for.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments I wasn't aware there was a 1.5 either.

Yeah, it might have been nice to know more about what was going on outside of the characters' bubbles.

Jean Valjean (OG 2010) (courfeyrack) | 162 comments I'm reading Reached right now and Indie is a serious thorn in my side. DAT THIRST, SON.

Jess | 2 comments I didn't like Matched :/ Cassia annoyed me too much. So I'm not planning on reading the sequels.

Amy | 237 comments I didn't like Matched much either. I did give it another chance and read Crossed but unfortunately nothing improved for me. I didn't feel for any of the characters and I found the romance a little strange. Just not a series for me I guess.

Brittney I enjoyed matched. I like the world they live in. Learning about that world is what kept me reading. The love story was a little iffy, but it wasn't a focus for me...I wanted to read the book for other reasons. I think that's why Crossed was so disappointing for me. It took you away from the world they live in and brought you to a more recognizable and less interesting one. And Reached...well I have few words. I'm not sure if it was shock, disappointment, or boredom I was feeling throughout the book. That wasn't where I wanted this book to go, but it wasn't my vision so there's nothing I could really do. Overall its a so so series and not one I would gush about.

Rhondav | 23 comments I enjoyed Matched, liked Crossed, and was uber disappointed with Reached. If I heard anything about the damned plague again I was going to dig my eyes out. I was mad at myself for actually purchasing this series!
