So and so...and it's HORROR!!Though I think the first part is the only really scary part....but the MOST recent parts I haven't read,y'know-as i have good reason to be busy

Cindy | 1 comments Reading Shift (Shade, #2) by Jeri Smith-Ready

message 4: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Hi Cindy. I heard its a good book, living up to the expectations?

message 5: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Hi everyone, since its the Holidays, hope everyone gets a bit more free time to read!

message 6: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Oh my what a coincidence. I also read it, though like in September(not so long ago). It's really great. I still remember it perfectly, which is odd as normally book details fade.. But you'd be surprised how it sticks with you especially when someone says something or I read something that reminds me of it. She deals with universal themes which make it a good read.
I read your blog post and agree. Carter totally creeped me out. Especially as there could be guys out there like that..shudder.
But yes, be careful there are a lot of mature scenes...and Anna still didn't get he really loved her (beyond my comprehension)

message 7: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments No, I haven't read it. Not sure if I want to either. Carter is such a jerk that I'm not sure if I'd want to read what was going on in his messed up mind. Nope, not at all. Though I love her writing, it so smooth that it feels unsupportive not to...

message 8: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments I know what you mean. Werewolves are everywhere now, though I have noticed that certain things are too similar. Doesn't stop me reading them though. I'm reading forgive and forget. It's good but not extrordinary. Still lovin it, still reading it :)

message 9: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Ha yeah, that sums it up, also the he-is-so-overpossive-but-she-still-loves-him part. They all seem to have it. Yet I still read it, maybe it's the fact that I feel bad stopping a book mid-way, you never know it could get better.
It's not that bad either.

message 10: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments That's my excuse now, it's a guilty pleasure. Hehe

message 11: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Nope, but I'll check it out :)
Currently I've like 10 books in process of being read, though another book always fits in as those 10 are all waiting to be updated.
Have you read any of XxSkater2Girl16xX books?

message 12: by Anastasia (last edited Feb 13, 2012 02:45PM) (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments I've read most of hers, currently reading love at last sight, and An endless serenade. Love both of them. She's an amazing writer. The first of her's I read was Believe me, I'm lying. It was amazing so I became her fan. Still reading her works. She also updates regularly, which is a plus.
Do you have any favourites?

message 13: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Yeah, BMIL is brilliant. It also was the first teacher-student relationship book I've read. The only one still. Though in An Endless Serenade there's hints of it. She was written on that topic quite a bit. Have yet to read Walmart one, wasn't sure if I'd like it.
I started Cupids Granddaughter and love it. Can't believe only found it now. Thanks for recommending it :)

message 14: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments For the past few days I've been hooked. I have read all of Cupids Grandaughter. Read tgecsecond and now am currently reading third. It's an addicting series! Though the first book was better than the second.
Do read Finvarra's Circus. I can promise you will like it!

message 15: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments I see you prefer the bad boy type :)
Jay is appealing, with the tattoos and ability to dance well. Hehe
I personally would love to meet Nate, especially to try out his good food...yum!

message 16: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Of course! It helps that is my favorite dessert!!

message 17: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Hmm, well I'm reading a few. I love Celebrity Status by LDCrichton. She is really good. It is the second book of hers I'm reading. She doesn't update very often, but when she does it's worth the wait :)
You?

message 18: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments I know, though there is a certain pride in being with a story from the beginning. Still reading it all through means you find out what happens straight away. Instead of waiting weeks for an update.
Oh the book is great. It's about a girl and guy who are best friends. The guy is into music and is really good at it. His band is going into a competition, the grand price is a record deal.
So the story goes on from there. I don't want to ruin it, so read it to find out what happens :)
It's not completed, and only really getting in. Still I'm enjoying it and can tell that it will get even better

message 19: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments @Tabitha have you read the recent update to Endless Serenade?
(Don't want to continue comment or else might ruin the book :) )

message 20: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments Exactly like you. Team Elliot all the way. A teacher is a teacher, you just don't cross that line. I can't believe she did that!

message 21: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (sun_and_sand) | 73 comments It would so much more sense that way too. She knows him better for a start. The attraction she feels to the other guy is completely out of curiosity. Her friend thinks he's hot, as do the ready of Tge female classmates. So when she was that close, she was like oh he is quite hot, I wonder if...and mix that in with the early hour = kiss that doesn't mean much

On a completely different note. This is to ALL IF YOU OUT THERE. I'm reading this story, which has low reading levels. The author would really love more viewpoints on her story. You know, how it's doing and how she can improve it. So...please check this book out:

message 34: by Katie (new)

Katie i started reading 'For Hating Me You Sure Are Possessive'. although i stopped because some parts of the plot just made me cringe and she has like 5 guys going after her and keeps going for the one that sexually assaulted her instead of the four amazing, nice, loving, caring, other guys. it annoyed me quite a bit, so i stopped. haha, i am also reading 'The Nightingale' by mlareau and 'King of Britain (Of the Wall)' by Inkpot although they haven't updated for ages, so i'm waiting on that.
