Kelleigh, Give TS some time and it will make sense why she is back with Vinnie. This is my fave book of the series! The last line of the book is the best in the series. I know numerous others who will agree with this too:-) I read TS in about 3-4 hours it was so good and am about to read it again for an oline book club where we are rereading the first 12 books in the series. Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!And one last thing....in my lowly opinion this series should have ended after TS. Books 13-17 are not nearly as well written and the the story lines are just not any good.

that is the best line! And that is how JE should have ended the series since the following books just ignore everything that happened in TS.
And yeah, we would all like to find us a real Ranger! Sigh!
I know, 13 started and it just feels off some how... it's like all the sexual tension in 12 between her and ranger just disappeared! sad. :(

you are not alone with that thought! There are a lot of us out there who feel the same way. If you do want to read some good Ranger/Steph stories check out the Fanfiction.net website! Some really good writers have posted some wonderful stories about our favorite couple (using JE's character to write their own stories). Some of the stories are novel length and even better than the crude JE putting out these days. There is also Yahoo Babe Squad where you can get even more Ranger.
Kelleigh, I guess I should explain more if you have never seen the fanfiction website. I discovered the website about 2 months ago and have been very addicted ever since. Finding the Janet Evanovich is easy. Once there make sure you on the drop down box titled Rated click it to say Rating: All not just the Rated K-T. The all ratings will get you the mature ratings too which have about 1000 more stories included. I tell you this because it took me several weeks to figure this part out. OMG! I just read some of the fan fics you linked to above. Love them! :0)I CRACKED UP 3 or 4 times in Ranger's plan. Whoever wrote that one nailed Steph and Lula's dialogue and wacky mishaps. Especially the sock instead of the t shirt! I almost died laughing... fiance thought I had gone nuts lol

Sassychassy, glad you liked the FF's! Ranger's Plan is pretty funny. The Talk is also pretty funny. I had a friend, who has not read the books, but has two daughters read it and she got a good laugh and forwarded it to other friends with daughters. Some of the writers on FF are amazing (IMO better than JE a lot of times).

I had the same question. I finished book 12 and I am still not sure why she stopped working for Ranger. Could someone explain please??
Hailey,One word to explain why Steph isn't working for Ranger in 12 - Joe. He may have accepted the situation in 11, but for some reason, he'd rather she work at Vinnie's, which he hates, than for her to work for Ranger, where she's safe.
The first book I read in the series was 13, so I liked it enough to read the books in order afterwards, but I agree - the series should have ended with 12. The rest just don't make any sense after 12.
Does anyone know when the series will end?? I haven't made it to 18 yet.
Book 12 starts back with her working as a bounty hunter though... Did I miss something? Or is it just one of those time gaps that happens though out the series?
