Once Upon a Time's Season 2 Premiere: (Literally) Falling Into Place

Did anyone seen last Sunday's episode about Rumpelstiltskin meeting Captain Hook? I thought that it was pretty tragic about how his wife left him and his son and joined Captain Hook instead.

I finally got around to catching up on a couple of older episodes this season (only 1 more to watch) and that first hook story was tragic, until the next episode. I'm starting to think the writers of this series not only hate the idea of happy couples, but don't "really" believe in true love. :)

Ironic on several fronts, yet I keep watching it.

I did like how they wove books into the Beauty and the Beast story.

Yep, I watched it too and loved it. Rumpel is my favorite character on the show, and I'm thinking he might be the writers' favorite as well because they continue to explore the many layers of who he is, who he was, what he became, with the most compelling storylines. (Well Regina's story might rival his.) It was particularly fun to see how the writers weaved together elements of Peter Pan into the Once Upon a Time mythology.

So far the "good" guys haven't piqued my interest much. Rumpel's the main reason I keep watching the show. I think Bae is the man who received the postcard in the season two premiere. I SO want Rumpel to be reunited with his son.

Me too! I can't wait to see what happens if Rumpel is reunited with his son!

Yeah, I will admit that it was a bit disappointing with how Season 3 ended. I was hoping that they would have more adventures in Storybook before they had Emma go back home.

The re-starting of the series reminds me of the last season of LOST-- not surprising, since the main writers are LOST graduates.

I don't think it will be a restarting of the series all together. Emma had better get her memories back sooner rather than later. I'm just glad we're finally out of Neverland--talk about shades of Lost!

My sister is a Hook/Emma shipper, so she's excited. I hate it anytime a character's memory gets erased, because it destroys all the development you've spent so long investing in.

I have a feeling that (view spoiler)[Rumpelstiltskin is not dead. I think they might eventually bring him back to life at some point and have an even bigger role in the series. (hide spoiler)]

I was quite surprised that they just gave Emma her memories back so easily. I would have thought that they would had spent the whole season trying to restore Emma's memory of Storybrooke, but I"m actually kind of glad that they just gave Emma her memories back. I was really surprised to see (view spoiler)[the Wicked Witch of the West (hide spoiler)] become the new villain this season.

Yeah, that's what I'm loving about the second half of Season 3 so far. Now most of the events are taking place in the real world and we would be able to see more of what the fairy tale characters could do in the real world.
