so far i had created over 200 characters, all connected into one single universe. seperated by 5 segments, 3 phases, and one final conclusion that would start a new reign of heroes into my fictional world. :}

Welcome to the group Laurence. Actually the founder, Ken, passed away several years ago. I am in the process of reviving the group the last month. Hopefully get it going again.

That's a good set of comic books/graphic novels you are interested in. It's a shame that Vertigo is being revamped. Hopefully, whoever is the editor-in-chief for the revamped "Vertigo" line will keep it the way it has been like when it was under Karen Berger.

One of my friends recently started his own comic book company and since I don't have much background in comics, he told me I NEEDED to read Watchmen as my introduction to the graphic novel world. So I read it. And I loved it. And now I want to get more involved in the comic book world and geek out with some like-minded individuals. I love comics, I read all kinds of them but I prefer european and the underground ones. I'm not a fan of the superhero genre but I still own superhero comics and I've read quite a few of them, too.

Howdy, ya'll! I love to read, obviously, or I wouldn't be here. The visual mediums of comics, GNs, & manga are the most enjoyable to me in regards to what all I read. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both fiction & non-fiction books, but there's just something about manga/comics. Some stories can only be done justice with a visual format. For instance, can any of you imagine what say, The Watchmen had been like, had it been a novel, instead of graphic arts? It probably wouldn't even be remembered, nearly 40 years later. I live in Spokane, WA but I also lived in Montana. Regardless of where I am, I am always reading.
