Approved:Einstein for Einsteinium
Neptune for Neptunium
Mendeleyev (or variant spelling Mendeleev) or Mendelevium
Names of people that the elements are named for are acceptable variations

I'm not going to be disappointed if this one is not accepted (I've got two others that will work), but I just thought I'd ask...Would Mendeleyev's Dream: The Quest for the Elements work for element #101 Mendelevium? Mendelevium is named for Mendeleyev, and there is some debate as to the proper spelling of his name - I've seen it spelled Mendeleev and Mendeleve
Like I said, I won't be dissappointed if this not ok'd, but I just thought I'd ask.
Thanks!

Yes, Mendeleyev (or, Mendeleev, for that matter) would work for Mendelevium. So, basically, I'm going with the people (or planet, in the case of Neptunium) that the element is named for being an acceptable variation.
Hi Kristi,I am planning on reading The Copper Bracelet for this task but wanted to make sure a compilation of stories was OK. Thanks

Sheila, I was able to find a print equivalent to the audiobook so, yes, it will work.
BJ Rose wrote: "So I could read Silverhill or The Golden Unicorn?"Yep. Either one of those would work.
Sandra wrote: "This is a long shot but would the book Brimstone work? Brimstone is another term for sulfur."No, sorry, the element has to appear on the periodic table. Good try, though ;-).
Here is a Goodreads author that writes a series using the periodic Tablehttp://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
Rebekah wrote: "Are Mercury and Quicksilver the same thing?"They are. Quicksilver is sometimes used as the common name for mercury. For this task, the element must appear on the periodic table. Quicksilver doesn't appear, but you can still use it because as long as the name of the element remains intact it will work (i.e., Quicksilver).
Thanks for the link to the Periodic Table Mysteries! LOVE it!! They went right on my TBR pile ;-).....
Rachel Lee wrote: "What about a last name of MarTIN?Out of Time by Monique Martin"Yep. As long as the element name if found intact, it'll work. So, MarTIN is fine....
I just realized that the book I wanted to use for this The Copper Bracelet was only released in print in large print, the rest was done in audiobook - can I get it approved or disapproved before I get too far into the audio? thanksETA - it was printed in a compilation book Watchlist with the first book in the sequence
Dee wrote: "I just realized that the book I wanted to use for this The Copper Bracelet was only released in print in large print, the rest was done in audiobook - can I get it approved or disapp..."There seems to be a print version of it and it's over 100 pages, so you're OK.
