I'm most of the way through Cold Vengeance. I like the Pendergast books, but I tried the Gideon's Sword book and found it...well I didn't care for it.
Sometimes the Pendergast books get a bit silly (Pendergast is sort of like Superman in a black suit), but I enjoy them, my late wife loved them and would get her audios of them. I got to know them by listening to them after she did.

Thanks. I will check it out.

Welcome. I would have posted earlier but I was on the roof of my house like LT. Dan (Gary Sinise) in Forest Gump, shouting at God "You'll never take this house!"
Needless to say, the house is still there, but to pay me back for my arrogant heathenism, the electricity is still out and is likely to be out for days. Yes, the electric Sump-Pump is an integral part of your flushing System. "Take the pale... ladies is the third tree on the left, guys .. across the street. Watch out for the power lines."

You and me both. And Irene, or somebody else up there who doesn't like me, did heave five trees at it. It was kind of... interesting... listening to the trees crash to the ground around the house. Nothing hit us. My yard could use some landscaping though.

It must be a Monday.

I'm not sure your priorities are in order. Find fresh water for fresh coffee first, then take the bucket to the tree! (and while your at it, I kind of like those Cinnomin Scones from Starbucks).

TMI?
Glad your family made it thru Irene relatively unscathed, Hugh.

LOL... A cup holder? Now why didn't I think of that? I'm going to mount a cupholder on the Tree!
Thank you for the kind thoughts. I'm glad your okay... hurricane or no hurricane.

If you put one of those squeezy honk honk bicycle horns on it and a bell. I know you could get some rednecks to buy it?

Hi all Political thriller junkie here currently finishing up the last Joel Rosenburg(Copper Scrolls)
Welcome to the group, John!
Hugh, I'm glad to hear that you all made it out okay. I hope your electricity comes back soon, too.

Hi John, actually there are like 4 Joel Rosenberg books that have come out since The Copper Scroll. Just wondered if I got what you meant???
Welcome.
Welcome.

Welcome."
actually i was refering to the last jihad series,it was however a confusing post i am currently reading #5 Dead Heat

I read a lot of everything, but Matthew Reilly has to be one of my all time favorites. I most recently re-read the Jack West Jr books while I was actaully in Egypt. That is an insanely cool way to experience not only the books but also the temples and monuments.
Hey, Jenna! I'm reading Ice Station now (and enjoying it very much). Jack West Jr? Do tell? those missed my radar.
John. You may add any books you want. You don't have to add them all, but you are welcome too. (especialy the good ones!)

Hugh, the Jack West Jr series is also by Reilly. It starts off with Seven Deadly Wonders. I actually read these before the Scarecrow series- its what started my love of Reilly.
