Hi, Everyone -I'm fairly new at Goodreads and I love the description of your group. I love action packed stories of all kinds, in any form. I've worked the past 27 years as an information technology professional and now I'm a newly minted author. Above all, I'm the father of three and grandfather of two. It's good to meet all of you.
Later...David
Hi, I'm Kim McMahill. My favorite authors are James Rollins and Clive Cussler. I''ve read every Sigma Force novel and every novel in the Dirk Pitt Series. While waiting on the next books, I've just started on the Numa files.
Hello. I am JT Patten, action-adventure novel enthusiast and author of the SAFE HAVENS black ops series. I'm a former intelligence professional and just released my second thriller, Primed Charge. I try to read a book a week. Thanks!
I love reading action- adventure and love authors like Alostair Maclean, Andy McDermott, Desmond bagley, Matthew Reilly, Scott mariani. And I also written two books myself ( no advertising, I promise!!!)

Hello, Steve. We have monthly group reads and otherwise, we just discuss the A/A genre in detail or in general. We have a few author-specific folders where the authors can promote their works and interact with their readers as well. Take a few minutes to scroll through the discussion threads and dive in. We have already selected our July read, and we'll probably start choosing our August group read later this month. I am sending out event notifications to the members for that.
Hi I'm Sam. I have diverse reading tastes: I've lived in Spain, South Africa, Ghana, England, Australia and currently in the US. My preference is foranything that has history and action mixed together. Some authors I like... I like Cussler novels, some Coontz, and Forsyth for the historical tangent...I also read some foreign novels: read City of God by the Brazilian, Paulo Lins and I just finished another pretty good book called Eteka: Rise of the Imamba by Ben Hinson. I'll also take anything by Tom Clancy. Glad to join this group!
Hi!! My name is Yadira, I love any book by James Rollins. I'm hoping that by joining I will discover new authors, go to many adventures and have a wonderful time reading!!! =)
Hello. I'm Kevin. Just finished reading an adventure thriller that kept me guessing from the first page to the last. Fast paced and unputdownable. Brannan’s Chase
Hello, Adam. I deleted your self-advertising posts, since they are not in line with the group rules.
Hi All,I'm Graeme, from Australia, I have a life long love of reading science fiction, fantasy, action, thrillers, suspense and some horror.
I also write urban fantasy, techno-thrillers with a side order of Vampires to go.
Hi everyone! I'm Justin, the author of The Policewoman. The PolicewomanI've just finished reading No Easy Day by Mark Owen. I would very much like to discuss Special Forces tactics with members of this group. If there are any SWAT/Special Forces operatives in this group, could you please add me as a friend? Thanks.
Justin
Hi everyone, happy to join this group!I'm Gerard, and Action and Adventure has been my favourite genres to read for over fifteen years! Some of the authors I enjoy the most are Tom Clancy and Clive Cussler.
Hello to all, happy to be here.My real name is Matt, and no this isn't what my real face looks like. I'm rather new here at Goodreads, but since my interests mostly involve reading, I thought I'd become a trust reviewer.
I love all reads that get the blood pumping, so action/adventure is what I look for in a book. My main genre is sci-fi, so if a sci-fi has loads of action/adventure, then it's guaranteed to be on my favourite list.
Thanks :)
Hi there, my name is Dan and I'm happy to have found a group that enjoys this genre. It's getting more difficult to find authors I haven't read, looking forward to finding new discoveries.Cheers!
Hi this is Ganesh.I am happy to join the group which is very resourceful with recommendations.
Currently i am reading with switch between other genres and clive Cussler and James Rollins.
Cheerio!
Hello I am an avid reader of all kinds of books but I guess this genre really pulls me in. I am currently reading Apaches by Lorenzo Carcaterra and it is really clicking along. I like a lot of stuff that may fit here that I plug as my mystery shelf as well. Linwood Barclay, Micheal Connelly and Lee Child are just a bare minimum of the many authors that I love and follow regularly. Thanks for having me and I hope I can contribute some positive sunshine and rainbows. Later all!!
Decided to ditch a group I wasn't participating in today and find an action/adventure group that I would be interested in. I have most genres covered in the groups I am in, but not action/adventure. I will keep my eye out for recommendations and group reads, but may wait a while before I nominate anything, due to the fact you have probably already read most of the books I own. I currently have Sandstorm and Ice Station on my bookshelf and I am swaying towards Ice Station being my next read.
Welcome to the group Kieron! You can't go wrong with Sandstorm or Ice Station (one of my all time favorites). Anything by Rollins and Reilly are full of great action!
Sure is lonely out here in deep space...just a man...his will to survive...and a pink giraffe called Gerald...
