The nearest I came to after those, were the Andrew Vachs series featuring Burke and the silent martial arts exponent by his side, Barry Eisler and Trevanian were the subsequent good ones.
Welcome to the group.
Hi, I'm Perry and I've been an action fan ever since I was old enough to read and started devouring comic books. I'm also an action author myself.
Welcome, Perry. I am diving in headfirst into my library's expansive graphic novel collection. Currently reading Daredevil Visionaries: Frank Miller, Vol. 1.
Hi, I'm Alicja just found this group and am very excited! I read many genres but love action in them as well. I love historical battles, Steven Pressfield and Bernard Cornwell are some of my favorite authors there. I also love fantasy battles, Joe Abercrombie's writing is a good example. Or military sci fi like Elizabeth Moon. I am sure that joining this group will help me find new amazing authors and fill in the gaps.Nice to meet everyone!
Have you read Moon's fantasy? Everyone here probably knows that one of my favorite books/trilogies is The Deed of Paksenarrion. They are actually listed as books 3-5 in a series but what are called books 1 and 2 are more prequels and not quite as good. Though the books that follow it are great.
Hello, Everybody!Looks like a nice group with similar literary tastes to mine! I enjoy action stories where the author doesn't just take the characters to the edge of utter chaos, but tosses them right over. (Like Nevada Barr's Anna Pigeon novels.) I also like a touch of darkness and sci-fi or paranormal. (Like Lincoln & Child's Pendergrast books, or Micheal Crichton's work.)

Volume 2 is when he takes over the writing duties and where it starts to get really good.
Hi all, my name is Matt and happy to be part of the group. My tastes are a bit all over the map, but recent action reads have been Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, and Brad Taylor. I like the older espionage thrillers by Ludlum, Forsythe, Le Carre. And as I saw someone else mention above, Pressfield, Steven is a favorite. Cheers!
Hi allI'm Steve, fan of all things Action/Adventure and fairly new to Goodreads as well (what did I ever do without it?). Grew up reading Tom Clancy, Matthew Reilly, Rob Ludlum and the like, and look forward to participating in the community.
I've also got a conspiracy thriller being published in September with Momentum Books that I'll be sure to share with you all.
Thanks
Steve
I'm Robert from Missouri and just joined the group. I write short stories which are always FREE on my website. I'm also the author of the fast paced thriller "THE MONKEY TOY" and mystery "SOULS OF THE DESERT." I like to interact with other members on Goodreads and hear their opinions.
Hi everyone,My name is Neil Russell and I am a former motion picture/television executive who became an author. I currently own and operate an intellectual property rights firm (Site 85 Productions, Inc.) based in Beverly Hills, CA. I have written 4 books, with three being my Rail Black action/thriller novels series and one nonfiction work, "Can I Still Kiss You?" which is used to answer children's questions about cancer. It was inspired by my hospital/doctor's visits during my two-time battle with the disease.
I have been writing for most of my life, but have only recently worked toward getting works published. My career has predominantly been on the other, business side.
Thanks again for allowing me to join the group and I look forward to meeting new readers and friends.
Best,
Neil Russell
Hello everyone, I'm Zenny and I've recently joined this site. I'm a voracious reader and music junkie and my job as a CNC Laser Operator allows me to indulge in both while working. I look forward to finding new authors and stories from fellow members! Thanks for having me!

Hi, I'm a South African reader/ writer currently living in Hong Kong (via a few years in Denmark). With a new baby at home, my time and general level of awakeness are not at their peak so I'm definitely favouring easy reading, fun material at the moment.
In that regard, I enjoy the work of Clive Cussler, Jack du Brul, Lee Child, James Rollins, et al.

Terminal Freeze and Supernatural are two of my favorite reads. Any suggestions would be appreciated as I continue to explore.
Hi All - I'm Wes and I'm an avid reader as well as author. My background is as writer for film, television and digital media. Love intelligent action stories and like to think I write the same! SHAOLIN DARKNESS is a series I'm working on and the prequel UNLEASHED and book 1 TIGER are now available on Amazon.
Just a reminder, self promos will be deleted if not posted in the designated areas, ie, Promo folder and Member Author folder.
Hello I'm Gerry and have enjoyed Action/Adventure since I picked up my first Rollins book Sandstorm. Since then it's been Reilly, Preston, Child, Cussler and I just recently discovered Golemon. His book Supernatural was my introduction to this author.
