Welcome Hero. Welcome. I have a similar curse too. It's not the worse thing I've been cursed with though.

I too, am reading The Hit I'm about halfway through it.
I enjoyed The Innocent (this months group read) so much I bought the second one in the series and starting reading it.

Isn't that special?

Hi David, happy reading. Let me know which one you like best. Also, is The Hit a sequel to The Innocent?

Yes, The Hit is the second book in the series. I've read them both and I enjoyed them equally. Will definitely continue with the series.

Tim, I haven't read The Serphim Sequence, but the first book of the series The Chimera Vector has been on my to-read list for quite a while. You'll have to let us know how you like it. I have read Area 7 and it was a definite winner with me!

Welcome Tim, I'm gla you found is. I enjoyed the first "Scarecrow" book by Riely. I haven't read the second yet. I also liked Temple. I haven't read an Farrugia yet, but it looks interesting.

To Tim, I just very recently found out about Nathan Farrugia's Fifth Column series, and both of the books look like my kind of thriller. Already collected The Chimera Vector, and hope to read it soon!
Looking forward to hear from both of you in our daily discussions!

I am almost finished Event by David Lynn Golemon. I did not know he existed until a few days ago. Event is great. Great action adventure with Sci Fi I have read in a while. This may become a new favorite series for me.
Welcome, Tim!

Welcome Phoenix. I'm glad you found the group. I read just about any genre, and, I really like the good old "action/adventure" books, as well as thrillers etc. (and there are a lot of females yet to come out of the closet as action lovers I think.) welcom to the group and if you have any questions, feel free to ask, one of us Moderator types will do our best to help you and if we can't, I've found that the rest of the group knows more than I ever thought I knew... and that's a lot because I used to have a fairly elevated and inflated opinion of myself and what I know.
Again, welcome!

I'm proud to say, I'm a female whose been "out of the closet" for years when it comes to action movies and books! : ) Why hide in the closet from all those intelligent, good looking men?
Welcome Phoenix! I think you'll find quite a lot of us "out of the closet" females here in this group. Definitely my favorite genre, and has been for quite a long time!

Um... do you mean other readers or... men of a ficticious nature?

Could be....those men of the ficticiuos nature come in a close second.

LOL!
Oh, sure... it's not like one of those "male" cheerleaders ever became president or ... oh... crap.... nevermind...
I kind of thought it might be like The Big Bang Theory (TV) ... you know... pretty girl... room full of geeks and Nerds...
But, I like your comparison better.

Hi Phoenix, I have converted two of my romance loving sisters to reading A/A instead and they are quickly going through my substantial library. Both of them got the bug by reading Andy McDermott.
I actually love romance, still do, but I love A/A books too. I cut my teeth on action movies growing up. When I get them both together, even better.

I love A/A but need a plot and some suspense. I am hated and despised by movie loving friends and family because I can guess plot twists and sometimes even dialogue because movies have become so predictable. Even when I don't say anything, they look over at me and say "I guess you knew that was going to happen too..."
Yes it is indeed a curse.
