"98.6," said Violet cheerfully, standing up and walking to him.

Stephen smiled,
"We should probably get back to the others, they must be waiting"

Violet nodded, though not really wanting to go back. She was surprised Stephen hadn't even asked why she dove into the volcano.

Stephen began walking downward, away from the volcano.

Violet walked by his side.

"So, why did you dive into the volcano anyway?" he asked as soon as they got to the floor.

"I had to speak to my father about... something."

She shrugged. "Stuf. I hadn't talked to him in hundreds of years."

Stephen nodded, and pushed away a few branches as they continued walking back to the others.

Violet was slightly sad, but did her best not to show it.

Stephen stumbled over a root that was sticking out of the ground. He bit his tongue, and got up.

Violet helped him up.

"Thanks" he murmured.

"So, if you were the daughter of the king of volcanoes, what was David? son of the king of rain?" Stephen asked in a mocking tone

She shook her head. "We were all brothers and sisters... My brother ((insert the first brother who was killed earlier)) and I shared the same mother... we were all the sons and daughters of the king of volcanos.

((I love that word! Volcanos and Volcanoes are both correct spellings!!))

"I see..."

"I was his youngest daughter... although he has probably had more since then."

Somebody's been having lots of fun... Stephen thought, and was glad Violet couldn't hear his thoughts.

Violet sighed, remembering.

((I was just thinking... if stephen had said "did you get special treatment for being the youngest" she would have laughed slightly and said "no, actually it was quite the opposite" and I imagined her as Lizzy from Pride and Prejudice in the BBC 5-hour version... lol sorry that was random...))

And suddenly they were kissing a kiss that was more pure (almost) than the one in Princess Bride. ((the movie))

This kiss was much better than their first or second. This was actually meaningful.

Jack was watching them afar with his heightened vision.
