Suddenly, Violet stood up and walked away. She came back with paper, paint, and paintbrushes, and began to paint.

"Where'd you get that from?" he asked

Violet shrugged. She smiled as her now-short hair fell around her face.

"And you cut you're hair too..." he remarked

"It was a bit long," she said. And expensive, too... she thought.

"I think it looks better this way" he said leaning on a nearby tree.

Violet smiled. "So do I," she said. Actually, she missed her hair, but she wasn't about to ask anyone for money. It had dissapeared with her vampire-ness. She finished painting a beautiful picture of a castle on a feild of wildflowers, with a stream.

Stephen zoned out at this moment, he had a blank look in his eyes.

Violet sat there, looking at the picture.

Violet blinked back tears.

Stephen snapped back to reality. He sighed boredly. There was nothing left to do...might as well get back to town, he thought to himself

Suddenly, Violet crumpled the picture up into a ball and threw it into the woods. ((he can find it later))

Stephen gave Violet an odd look, but then shrugged and looked at the sky again.

Violet wandered off somewhere.

Stephen got up and walked through the trees. He saw a piece of crumpled paper on the ground and picked it up.

It was a beautiful, realistic picture of a castle on a grassy hill with perfect flowers and a stream.

Stephen looked at it, then pocketed it.

BEFORE he pocketed it, there was a whisper behind him and it caught on fire.

Clara saw a flash of light. She quickly got up, and saw a piece of paper catching on fire.

"What the-" he said before extinguishing the fire with a vial of water he had.

It was too late. The picture turned to ashes and dissapeared as it fell to the ground. Violet was standing behind Stephen.

Clara trotted over to the ashes, and carefully scooped them up.

"Some thing's are best forgotten," said Violet. Her eyes were bright orange.

Clara looked up at Violet's eyes. She scooped up the rest of the ashes, and quickly broke eye contact.

Violet stared at Stephen, not realizing her eyes were orange.

Clara glanced at Jack, noticing him standing near her. Her heart beat quickly. She peeked at the ashes cupped in her hands.

Violet glanced around. "What?" she asked.

"Y-your eyes..." Stephen stuttered

"Y-your eyes are, they're, well, orange." Clara stuttered.

Violet closed her eyes and sighed. When she opened them they were brown again. "My father was king of the volcanoes. Whenever I call on the power of fire, my eyes turn the color of fire."

Clara took a deep breath. "So you burned that paper?" Clara showed her hands, still holding the ashes.

Jack and Stephen glanced at the pile of ashes in Clara's hands.

Violet looked at it disdainfully.(sp?) "Did you think it burst into flames by itsself?" she asked.

Clara quickly closed the ashes from view, like one would hold a butterfly that you don't want to escape. "Well, no..."
