Clara sighed. "So, now what? Everything's been resolved, it should be a happily ever after, but it doesn't FEEL like one, ya know what I mean?"

"You're right. I feel strangely miserable, although I suppose I should be happy."

Clara nodded. "Yeah. So this story isn't over. I wonder what we do now?"

"Perhaps I should get a haircut. This hair weighs a ton!" she guestured to her long braid that went all the way down to her ankles.

Violet gave her a strange look. "You know, that color goes great with your eyes," she said, guesturing to the flower necklace she'd placed on Clara earlier.

((Well, so in SF every year, there's a Green Festival, so I was a volunteer, and major news stations INTERVIEWED me!!!!! And I actually saw myself on TV!!!!! WOAH!!!! :D It's true! And awesome! They said I was the youngest volunteer they had seen! :D But, it's not like I'm 5 years old or something...LOL. But anyway, ME WAS ON TV!!!))

Stephen and Jack sat back-to-back, listening to the conversation. Jack fished out the locket from his pocket and turned it over in his hands a few times.

Violet stared out past the distant mountains.

Stephen nudged Jack, and Jack stood up and walked away.

Violet didn't notice. She was staring at a calipittar((is that what they're called? lol. I can never remember if its calipittar or cattapillar....)) not far away.

Violet blinked slowly.

Stephen drummed his fingers against the floor boredly.

Violet watched Stephen's fingers.

"Where do you come from?" asked Violet quietly.

"What do you mean?" he asked looking at Violet.

"Your homeland, or where you were born," she said.

"Oh...I was born in Ukraine, but when it was still part of the Soviet Union" Stephen explained

"I have never heard of that before," admitted Violet.

"It was this group of communists, and they gained control in Russia, and eventually took over some neighboring countries, and those countires had to convert to communism.."

Violet nodded. "What was it like?" she asked.

Violet nodded again. She was trying to pay attention, but her mind kept wandering to her own home, where she had grown up.

"So, what was your homeland like?" Stephen asked

Violet did not say anything for a minute. Finally, "How can I describe my homeland?" she almost whispered. A strange look came into her eyes. "If I were to say it was the most beautiful land in the world, it would not be enough. It was a place where faeries could roam freely, without worry of being caught. No one was rich or poor. There was no such thing as money. There were perfect streams one could simply drink out of, without worry of being poisoned. You spent hours making gifts for others each day. It was a world of happiness." Here, that strange look in her eyes dissapeared and they returned to being sorrowful again. "Imagine coming here, after that," she almost whispered.

Stephen was speechless,
"But, why don't you go back like the others?" he asked

((I think I'll be on and off, I'm cleaning my room.))

Violet looked at him, her eyes wide. "How could I leave you?"

"I'd be happy with whatever option you choose..." he said. In reality, he didn't want her to leave either.

Violet looked at him, slightly confused. "Does it matter to you?" she asked, slightly hurt.

"To tell you the truth, I don't want you to leave...but if it makes you happier to be there, I could live with it" he admitted

"Nothing could make me happier than being here with you," lied Violet. She would be happier if Stephen could live in her homeland, but that wasn't possible.
