Stepehn collapsed on the ground with a grunt. He was still in werewolf form, but he had no stregth to phase. He had failed to stop Violet from leaving

He took a few short breaths, and tried to get up, but collapsed on the ground. He was hardly breathing.

Violet raced. She was by his side in an instant. She didn't think he was dead, as she could still dimly hear his thoughts. "Stephen?" she whispered, sitting beside him.

He looked up, but his vision was blurry. He could make out Violet's face. He smiled as much as a werewolf could.

Her eyes shed tears of relief. She hugged Stephan- though not too tightly.

Violet sighed softly. She didn't show how scared she was.

Violet stopped hugging him and went back to her usual sad, gloomy look.

Violet almost smiled. She knew there was nothing he could do, but she didn't want to make him miserable.

The one thing Violet didn't like about Stephen came back to haunt her. Changing the topic, she said, "I left Clara there, and she's probably freaking out by now."

Stephen shrugged and sat down. He leaned against a tree.

Clara HAD freaked out when Violet disappeared, but, as always, her thoughts had drifted. But now she was staring at Stephen, anger in her eyes. Sure, she felt pity for his current state, but really! Leaving Violet for Sara? NOT cool...
