What version are you reading? Original language? Modern Translation? Illustrated? I'm just curious...

I am very happy indeed with my version! It is dated 1811 printed by J. Tregortha in Burselm, Staffs. The book if I remember rightly cost 20 pounds via ebay plus half again for postage. It is in good condition considering the age, has the original cover; and I can read from it easily. I shall now read a little more of it accompanied (Bunyan would probably not approve) by a glass or two of claret. I am totally bewildered by comments intimating that there is a "modern translation". What can this mean? There is nothing difficult about the English at all, just the occasional archaic word once in a while. I cannot understand how this work would be translated into English since it is written in admirably clear English (and surely the simplicity and clarity of the prose is one of its great strengths).
