Haven't read any of them. I hear they are hard to find so if you find them at a reasonable price, I recommend snatching them up :-)

You are so lucky.
Yep, I snagged a copy of Star Quest on Amazon years ago. It was good, as sci-fi goes. Not great, but not terrible. Certainly not terrible for a first book!I've been reading his How to Write Best Selling Fiction, in which he gives a lot of details from Beastchild, and now I really want to read that one! Otherwise, I have yet to read his early sci-fi works.
