Do you write? >> Sally Writhes>> Sarah Pi Writes!!!
I saw the title as "Do you writhe" and thought the topic was for Sally. To the topic... I do write, but not that style.

Me either, but I thought it might be fun to try and write about a nebbishy vampire who really wasn't much of a vampire but was in love with someone and see what happens. I'll see if I can writhe to the occasion.
Michael wrote: "I'll see if I can writhe to the occasion."A vampire with a lisp could be a good gimmick too.
Jonathan wrote: "A vampire with a lisp could be a good gimmick too."I like that idea, thank you! My vampire is right now buying a bottle of Shiraz so that might be interesting. Do you think a lisping vampire might make for difficult reading? Maybe he only lisps when he gets anxious?
Michael wrote: "Maybe he only lisps when he gets anxious?"One solution would be to tell the story in his voice or at least from his point of view. In the narration, he naturally would not lisp, but in the dialogue he would. There would therefore be a measure of disconnect between the way he imagines himself and the way that others perceive him. This could have a lot of possibilities, either for light comedy or as a more serious plot device.
The story is from his PoV so I'll give it a try and see what happens. This will give my 's' key a little break, too. The story is going to be far from serious because I can't take paranormal romance seriously.
I have a story at Every Day Fiction today! Read it if you wanna! http://www.everydayfiction.com/broken...

I do so love Michael.
I also write but not paranormal romance. Congrats to Sarah!
I write, but have never published anything.....received many rejection slips however ;)I mainly write urban fantasy...and have lately been trying my hand at paranormal romance as well.....only problem is trying to think of a format for the romance that isn't a forehead-smacking cliche....that means NO VAMPIRES!!!!
I wrote a poem in my head this afternoon, which is weird....I don't write poetry, or at least I haven't since 9th grade. I'm having trouble finishing it, though. Also I'm not quite sure what the point is, since it will have no purpose or destination.
Misha wrote: "I like vampires, but, yeah, they're feeling pretty stale."Stick a stake in them, they're done.
