I really do like this series. I remember reading it in 6th grade, before it was anywhere near as popular as it is now. I own a paperback copy of Twilight, and the cover is just about to fall off, and all the pages are worn, but I love it a lot. I don't think the movies do it justice though. Kristen stewart is a bad actor, and Robert Pattinson is way too ugly to be a supposedly good-looking vampire.
The movies were basically awful. Nowhere near as good as the books were. Like Alysse, I read them in sixth grade, when only like, two other people I knew had read them, and I adored them. I really liked them; they were interesting and about the first legitimate young adult book that I read. It was also the only vampire book I'd ever read, and I was thrilled to find out it was written by a Mormon author.I don't think any of the others in the series were near as good as the first one, but I still think it's well written and very creative.
I heard about Twilight after reading an interview of Stephenie Meyer in "The Week" magazine. At that time nobody around here heard about this book and I was really excited to read a vampire love story. I searched all the bookstores and libraries for this book but couldn't find it. My brother after seeing my frustration used his connections to get me the first book. I was positively hooked after reading Twilight. I had to go to great lengths to watch the movie too because it did not release around here. Even then I had to wait a long time to get my hands on the other three books. The movie was not good as no one can take up the role of Edward. I told all my friends about the book and made fans out of them. Now the series is a craze. You can find all the twilight books even in second hand stores nowadays.
Yeah! I am french and even in a french book store, there was like 10 copies of every book of the Twilight Saga (in english!)
I first heard about this series after I watched the movie. All my friends were talking how great the movie was, and when i read what was it about I just thought this is stupid I don't want to watch it, but when I did, i have no idea why haven't I watched it sooner.
And after that i heard there were books, they weren't published in my country yet, but i find them in internet and when i started reading them i thought I just don't need sleep. I was totally in love with them, couldn't stop reading. And when I finished the series I just started it again.
And After i had read the book, i understand how bad the movie was, Catherine Hardwicke absolutely destroyed Twilight.

he's all buff... and he's funny when he actually talks. I'm so mad, he only says, like, 8 words in the first movie:P
One of my favorites.I still remember myself looking out for this book in any bookstore.
Every store was out-of-stock. but luckily I found all 4 books :)
I can't wait for the last installment of Twilight Saga movie :)
Did you watched the last movie, I think it is the best for now. Bill Condon didn't ruin it like the other directors did in the previous movies.
Sometimes I'm thinking how cool it would be one really good director to do the films from the begging, but to make them perfect like the books.

What do you think about it?
