I like 'safe worlds' only, but that seems practically impossible unless the story is set in a Realistic-Romance-Fiction setting. If I had to pick the exact place though, it would be here:

Can I just..?

This book was just so completely wonderful; and since I played the game about ten times before the book came out, I already felt like I sort of belonged in this world; because when you play a game, you are the main character. So when I read from that same character's point of view, I just felt like I needed to be part of the world.
