I just finished Matched. Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie It was...okay. Not my favorite. Though it could have been better.

Reading quite a few new books now. Here's a list:

Eden by Keary Taylor

A Long, Long Sleep by Anna Sheehan

Beyond the Western Sun (The Whisper Legacy, #1) by Kristina Circelli

The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton

Finished Tris and Izzie (didn't like it at all) and am now moving on to How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr. So far, so good. =)

Dale Ibitz (goodreadscomdale_ibitz) I finished Dracula, and have moved on to

Crossroads by Mary Ting

I had such high hopes for this book and I'm amazingly disappointed!

I haven't read that one...but I absolutely loved Dracula. I'm addicted to old-fashioned, Gothic horror.

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 9 comments I recently finished Spider’s Revenge (Elemental Assassin, #5) by Jennifer Estep and A Kiss of Shadows (Meredith Gentry, #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton . I was going to start Silence (Hush, Hush, #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick but I was warned it wasn't any good. So I think I'm going to read A Caress of Twilight (Meredith Gentry, #2) by Laurell K. Hamilton . Later this month I will be reading The Litigators by John Grisham , I can't wait.

Dale Ibitz (goodreadscomdale_ibitz) Anagha, go read my review. I've broken down everything wrong with Crossroads. One of the top 2 worst books I've read this year.

Alexandra, I wasn't a big fan of Dracula! It was sooo hard for me to get through the classic writing. Some people love it...but I'd find my mind wandering elsewhere. LOL

Terri, I heard the same thing about Silence, though I haven't read any in the series. Did you read the first 2, and did you like those?

I've moved on to The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting which I'm happy to say I'm liking alot!

Ha ha. Classics aren't for everyone, but I really love to read them. I had to kind of absorb Dracula, though. It's one of my favorites, but it took me nearly four months to finish it because I had to put it down and then pick it up constantly.

How are you liking The Iron Knight? I read the rest of the series, but was a little disappointed by the last book.

Did you receive those from netGalley? I'm thinking of reading Virtuosity soon just because the author has the same name as one of my best friends ;) And Iron Knight is...somewhere on my TBR

I've only read the first out of the three. I really liked The Iron King once I got into it, but I was a bit disappointed with the rest of the series, especially the last book...

I brought all three books as i like to read each book of a series and iron king was starting to pick up. I love Faery books so i will most likly try to finish the them but i am a little worried lol.

They aren't bad by any means, but the last half of the third I thought was too wordy (in a battle, really?). But I would recommend reading them if you like Faery books.

Very interesting book. Probably not something I would have picked up by myself, but I definitely liked it, and it was very original. I'm glad that I read it. :)

I haven't read anything by him, but I've seen his books...give it a try, I guess. Or you could try the first in my series, Shadows of Past Memories, which is (light) sci-fi/horror. Just saying... :)

I didn't know it fell under the horror category. I'll definetely read it. I just have to get my hands on it first. :)

message 142: by Reading Wolf (new)

Reading Wolf (readingwolfminda) I've been without internet for most of this month (only been able to snatch a few hours of it once or twice from our truck terminals driver lounge) so I've basically been plowing my way through a LOT of books. So far in October I have read;

Eclipse (Twilight, #3) by Stephenie Meyer The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch Mermaid A Twist on the Classic Tale by Carolyn Turgeon The Giver (The Giver, #1) by Lois Lowry
Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver iDrakula by Bekka Black The Willoughbys by Lois Lowry Dust City by Robert Paul Weston
Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1) by Rachel Hawkins Breaking Dawn (Twilight, #4) by Stephenie Meyer Daughter of Venice by Donna Jo Napoli A Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle, #1) by Libba Bray

And the month is only halfway over. I haven't read this much since I was a teen. But I'm very glad to be working my way through my collection of books.

Those are a lot of books! Wow! Maybe I should cut my internet off, who am I kidding I can't live without it. But I remember before my summer vacation my old computer broke down and I had to spend 2 days without itnernet, so I managed to finish a whole book and start another one.

@Elisandra: Loved The Vampire Stalker! :) Hope you like it.

Melissa | 12 comments I'm reading a couple of non fiction books about Baroque and Gothic art and architecture. I've also started a book about Ancient Egyptian temples. I'm also currently reading some of the excellent Shannara books by Terry Brooks; I'm on The Wishsong of Shannara, but I haven't started it yet.

I recently read a book called 'Nightwalker' by my friend Lisa Kessler. Good little vampire romance novel; easy to read and a good length; I read it one night when I should have been sleeping lol.

I got an ereader recently as a gift, it came with a few 'sample' books that you can read the first couple of chapters. Shit My Dad Says is one of them, I want to read that now, the beginning is hilarious.
