Right. That needs to happen! And if it is the same person doing this, they need to not be a librarian. Is there really a need for auto-combine anyway? It seems like it creates more problems than it solves.
The title of this thread made me feel like the bowl of petunias in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy -- "oh no, not again."
I'm not certain it's necessarily a person. For example: Goodreads combined:
The Charterhouse of Parma

The Charterhouse of Parma by Stendhal
There are many many similar entries. When I personally combine,it shows my name as the combiner.
So I don't know who or what is the combining method for Goodreads, but that may be the problem.
Given the various issues lately, it's a possibility anyway.
I saw a person right at the top when this was originally posted and it looked like "person combined NOT A BOOK." It was different from the last person too.

Strongly disagree, in general. For this particular "author", it's a to-do item. It has not happened yet.

I disagree as well. It's sometimes very helpful to be able to use auto combine. Don't see that everything should be "penalized" when disabling it on NAB would solve the problem (should we all live long enough to see implementation).

Another combine of NAB. Can Michael separate and I know we discussed removing the auto combine ....
