Yea, Im going to The Art Institute and the way the program works is 11 weeks of class then a 2-3 week break. Apparently the goal is get me out in 3 years instead of 4

Oh well that is awesome, I wish my major had to do with art lol I am stuck in science labs, and computer rooms all day!

Ah yes I am double majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Science, so I guess I am the one to blame for choosing it! I love it but I also love the arts to! I wish I could just major in everything!

So are you a cook then? I love cooking, I am a vegetarian but before I was man my favorite recipe was General Tso's Chicken!

OMG I love Tso Chicken!!! MMMMM *drools alittle* Yea cooking is one of my many passions, along with animals. But I know exactly how you feel, before i chose culinary I wanted to go to school for computer engineering and before that was accounting. lol I was all over the place

Yes I am a vegetarian I have been for about 5 months now! Yikes! I am a cheating vegetarian though because i still eat seafood...it would be absolutely impossible with me being japanese lol! I guess I lucked out with my asian card ;)

Yes I originally started out as an Environmental Engineer but the school I go to does not offer that so I am now double majoring plus I minor in Japanese Language, but those classes have not started yet!

My sister took an elective in her elementary school for Korean, it looked like a difficult language to learn! Japanese is not as hard to learn how to speak as it is too write. My friend is from Japan and he has been helping me out along with the stacks full of books I have!

I am going to take french and Japanese as well as calligraphy just because lol I actually want to study real Asian cuisine from either Japan or China

I have a great-Uncle that lives in Japan and I am hoping that after I am done with at least one class I can go visit him :) I would recommenf Japan if you are interested in seafood and real sushi otherwise china has great expertise on chicken and beef along with many others

Do you know all about the yin and yang principle behind chinese cooking? It is very interesting. Real Chinese food is actually healthy and WAY better than the kind they serve at chinese buffets!

I've heard about it. I was actually watching a show about real Chinese food and it said something about cooking by following Buddhist beliefs or something like that

Yeah it is really cool, there are yin (yin is better for you or a more healthier option) qualities such as boiling or steaming. Then there are yang qualities like deep frying or stir frying. The yin foods are vegetables, duck or tofu and yang foods are meats like chicken, beef, pork and things like eggs and rice. The moral is to make your dish a perfect yin and yang so if you have a yin food you would use a yang quality or you would combine fried rice (two yangs) with steamed vegtables (two yins) that way everythign is even and you have a perfect yin and yang :) Very cool!

Wow!! That is pretty cool. Hmmmm I wonder if I can do this with american dishes seeing as how everything we eat is pretty much bad for you lol

ha i think you could use it with any style of cooking. It is just a principle that the chinese made but it could probably change the US if they cooked this way, making the average size of a women from 12 down to at least 8!

ha oh no I am way to OLD!!! You have never heard the phrase just joshin?? well it comes from the gold rush era...anyways there was this man who was a mute (means he could not speak) anyways there was a mistake on one of the 5 cent bronze pieces. Instead of saying 5 cents it just said 5. so Josh took these 5 cent peices and painted them gold. and he went to stores and bought something and the store clerks would give him change for 5 dollars instead of 5 cents and he never technically broke the law because he never said it was a 5 dollar coin instead of a 5 cent coin because he couldn't talk...anyways he gained a lot of money from this and was never arrested so when you are just joking or kidding people would say they are just joshin
