♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished The Gathering Storm (Katerina, #1) by Robin Bridges I loved it!! im something of a fan of Russia, so this was a great book for me!!
now reading Kingdom of the Wicked (Skulduggery Pleasant, #7) by Derek Landy which im actually really enjoying, I was a tad concerned it would be really immature but I think its quiet adult for a YA book.

message 2062: by Christine (new)

Christine | 752 comments I was going to start Heart of Venom (Elemental Assassin, #9) by Jennifer Estep like so many others, but after the ending of Changes (The Dresden Files, #12) by Jim Butcher I had to jump right into Ghost Story (The Dresden Files, #13) by Jim Butcher to see how on earth he follows up on a great book like Changes.

I loved Ghost Story. One of my favorites in the series.
If you want to see what happened in between Changes and Ghost Story from another perspective, there's a novella, "Aftermath," in Side Jobs, which is told from Murph's perspective.
Side Jobs Stories From the Dresden Files (The Dresden Files, #.5) by Jim Butcher

I found her best friend really annoying so when I started trying to read the second book and they were introduced I put the book down havent picked it up since then.

message 2071: by Sara (new)

Sara | 51 comments Malory didn't bother me. I found her easy acceptance of living with a newly turned vampire to be a little crazy and was anticipating a tragic result due to Merit's blood hunger happening at an inopportune time but that didn't happen.

message 2072: by Christine (last edited Aug 30, 2013 05:00AM) (new)

Christine | 752 comments I really enjoyed The Enemy (The Enemy, #1) by Charlie Higson . It was quite interesting for a YA dystopian zombie book.

I am so glad Butters is around in Ghost Story (The Dresden Files, #13) by Jim Butcher ! "She's a few bubbles off plumb". Love it!

I hate to hear that about Perdition, I am looking forward to it.

message 2082: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (readingonthefly) Darcy, it was a surprise to me as I've mostly liked the author's other works but, for whatever reason, this one didn't resonate for me. I just never really warmed to either of the two leads. Hopefully you'll have a better experience with it.

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished Darkness Becomes Her (Gods & Monsters, #1) by Kelly Keaton , was a pretty good book, ended up rating it 3 strs.
tried reading Eye In The Sky by Philip K. Dick but I couldn't get into it - which is a shame cause the blurb sounded awesome.
now reading Nefilim by Åsa Schwarz which so far is pretty interesting - I like how its about protestors against pollution. I haven't really read a book about this before. also I love the cover, how awesome does it look!!

I'm listening to Sins of the Demon (Kara Gillian, #4) by Diana Rowland which is another series I really enjoy. I am quite intrigued why three different people from Kara's past all popped up in one day....

♥ Ashleigh ♥ Contrary to popular belief I'm not actually mad! (cheshire_red) finished Nefilim by Åsa Schwarz sadly enough didnt turn out to be fantastic, it had a weird paranormal twist which i think the book would of been better off without, though i suppose it did add an unusual twist to the story.
