Been thinking about starting the Magic Bites but unsure and the sample didn't grab me, any suggestions with regards to the Kat Daniels series??

I haven't read this series yet, but I've heard many times that book one is hard to get through and it just gets amazing from there.

Mitabird is right - the first book is a little tough to muddle through - she just kind of throws you into the world and you feel like you're floundering. But, by the second half it picks up and the rest of the books are great! I even convinced my husband to read it and he loved the series:)

Hi I have read all the books in the series and it has become one of my favorite series. Obviously, every person has his/her preferences, but for me I just find it great, especially the interactions (which gradually increase in each book) between Kate and Curran. There are parts in the books that have me laughing hard other parts that are dramatic so what can I say I really love this series can't wait for the next book to be published. I hope you like the series too. Happy reading :)

Totally agree! I read the first book and thought, Well, that was okay. Good enough to read the next book in the series. Now the Kate Daniels books are right up there, for me. Second-fav UF series ever, probably. Just great.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is still on book 2 of BDB. I'm having a hard time with the words for names and so I keep putting off reading this series.

What book(s) are you reading right now? Urban Fantasy or other genres... How do you like it so far? What is it about? How did you hear about it? Is it part of a seri..."
Currently I am reading Grave Mercy, by Robin LaFevers on my Kindle iPhone ap, because I always have it handy. I am listening to A Feast For Crows, by George RR Martin (second time) on audio book, and The Doomfarers of Coramonde, by Brian Daley in print because I loved it years ago when I read it over and over in high school.
I picked up Grave Mercy due to a recomendation from twitter @bookaliciousPam. I started listening to GRRM when the Kansas Library had a good audio book program. I saw the promo for A Game of Thrones about thirty times before I decided to try it, since I had been burnt out on fantasy to some extent. Now I am totally back. Love the low-magic concept. As for The Doomfarer's of Coramonde, some older guys I knew when I was in junior high were reading the Brian Daley books and playing AD & D. I listened to them tell stories about how cool it was and got hooked. This was the same reading group that got me started on the Elric series.

I felt the same way about this book. It was really entertaining, but incredibly put-downable

I love Pritkin!

I think it was one that wasn't quite as good as it went along, it just seemed to loose steam with each book.
