well I'm wondering who Sookie will end up with because she isn't supposed to end up with neither Bill or Eric.

I agree, Sam acted weird in this last book, not at all like his normal strong self. I meant he woman he is with is crazy and he knows it.I can't see them together really, I think it might be awkward.
Here is another series that is complete:
Really cute series and a little spooky too!
Thanks Nairabell for all those!L A Banks Vampire Huntress 13-book series plus additional chapters is complete.
BTW, she sadly just died- August 2, 2011, aged 51 of cancer.

The Demonica series by Larissa Ione."
And she has a spin off from this series that she just started Book 1 is out and Book 2 in Nov/Dec I think.
I can't believe I forgot about this series, it is YA but it is really really good!
Also this series I thought was over after the two books but there is new book coming out but it is from a different view point so I don't know if it is still considered the same series or not or will even involve the other characters or not.
I thought of another series!
Just came across this series, by Jocelynn Drake - the Dark Day novels. Anyone hear of it? It is recently completed. I am going to give it a try next.

[bookcover:..."Wonderful, wonderful series. Love them.
Dream Catcher Trilogy by Lisa McMann
Skinjacker Trilogy by Neal Shusterman
Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld
Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld
Great lists! I have to add:
Signs of the Zodiac Series by Vicki PetterssonSOZ series also has 3 great shorts in the anthologies:
Jaz Parks by Jennifer RardinJaz shorts:
Skin Series by Ava Gray (Ann Aguirre pen name)Skin short found in:
And I hate that these two series are over because I could definitely read more about them:
Tales of an Extraordinary Girl by Gena Showalter
Nightshade by Michelle Rowen (ends abruptly in my opinion)Nightshade has a short in:
PM wrote: "Yah! More FINISHED series to read!!!!!!! THANK YOU Lan-Dinh!"No problem! Warning - the last two with only two books in the series left me wanting more. The top 3 had definitive conclusions with everything tied in a bow. I think the skin series could've gone much longer but the contract must not have been renewed on that series. She did wrap it up but I felt there were other characters who could've easily had their own books. Of the ones I listed - Signs of the Zodiac I thought was very good and I love Jaz Parks too.
Joyce wrote: "The Highlander Series by Karen Moning

[bookcover:Kiss of the High..."Oh, how could I forget about my beloved Highlanders! This series is awesome. Hot, sexy, bad boy Scots with a sweet side for their women. What's not to love!!
Denise wrote: "Sammie =^.^= wrote: "I bet the series ends with her being alone. Because we know s..."Hmm....not sure how I would feel about Sookie ending up alone. It would almost feel like all the crap she has gone through would have been for nothing.
Jessa ♥Dhanger♥ wrote: "Hmm....not sure how I would feel about Sookie ending up alone. It would almost feel like all the crap she has gone through would have been for nothing. "Well - since Ms. Harris has managed to write the series in such a way that I hate all of Sookie's love interests and I never liked Sookie much herself, I'm not sure if I care...? After reading Dead Reckoning, there's no one left to like? This is like how Anita Blake made me love Richard in her first couple of books, now I just want him to go away and not come back.
I have not liked the last couple books too much. They seem to be placeholders or just so the TV series can continue without anyone knowing how the book series ends.
PM wrote: "I don't care what anyone says,I want Bill..."Ew, really? Okay, not trying to disrespect your choice but I just don't get it. You did read the books, right? And you forgave Bill for (view spoiler) Sorry, just can't get passed it.
:)
PM wrote: "Ye, that's me - crazy. LOL I feel that Erik was the cause of Bill doing those things. But, for real, blaming Eric is not an excuse for Bill's actions. Sorry, can't agree there. But, go ahead and love Bill. He needs some supporters in his camp. Stick with it, girl! :)
Jessa ♥Dhanger♥ wrote: "But, go ahead and love Bill. He needs some supporters in his camp. Stick with it, girl! :)"Everyone's entitled to their opinion! Lord knows I have no idea why some people I know in real life date the men they do either!!
I love all of these suggestions! I was just sitting here looking at my tbr shelf, not wanting to start another series that I'd get hooked on and then have to reread when the next book came out a year later. This is great, so many choices!Btw, I'm rooting for Quinn and Sookie. I wanted to strangle her when she let (made) him walk.
I actually really liked Quinn too. His life was pretty complicated though. If Sookie isn't going to become a vamp (per Charlaine) then I can't see her staying with one whether it is Bill or Eric. It just wouldn't work.
I have to admit that after the last two books, I don't care for Eric all that much anymore.
I like Quinn also. Why was it so terrible that his family was important to him? That's the crux of why they broke up, right? it's been so long...
Wasn't his mom or sister a little crazy though and that added to it? I can't remember now, that was a lot of books ago.
I didnt like Quinn at all. So glad she didnt end up with him atleast!
Lan-Dinh wrote: "I like Quinn also. Why was it so terrible that his family was important to him? I think Sookie had always been a little "me me me," but this sealed the deal for me. All of the other guys seemed to put themselves first, and she's pissed because Quinn makes his family a priority? Bleh! Just bleh!
I'm anxious for the series to end just so I can stop thinking about it!

Totally agree. None of the men think about her first (with the exception of possibly Sam) although they all vow their undying love for all eternity. Actions speak louder than words, baby. But Sookie ain't all that either. Why do I read these books again?
The first four were exciting and different. After all, who writes about backwoods white trash and sexy heroes/heroines? After that, I always felt like I needed more, but now I HAVE to see how it ends! Closure!
Isn't it the imperfections in the character that make us able to relate to them, to see ourselves in them and as a result, care what happens to them?

[boo..."Yep but there will be a spin off series with Ethan (Meghan's brother).
Wow! Nice long one. Thanks Rayna.I started the Sweep series. Someone has listed that series in our thread, already, haven't they? There are a million books in the series. YA, not great but, hey, it is finished. LOL
ANYHOW, I was waiting for one book I was missing in the series and I started to read "A Discover of Witches". Anyone read it? I am about halfway through and I am LOVING it! Only, it isn't complete. Why do I do this to myself? LOL
you wont be dissapointed with the Riley Jensen series! Great characters, wonderfull plot, and you will get hit with feeling every emotion in the book!
Lisa wrote: "I think the Bill in True Blood is a lot more likeable than the way charlaine Harris actually wrote him in the books. Also Eric has a much better sense of humour in the books... Agree/Disagree???"I totally agree with you there. Eric is better in the books. He is more humorous, wicked and a lot more fun and he and Sookie are hot together. But on screen, you can really see the attraction between Bill and Sookie and I especially love the way he says Sookie. Sigh!
I believe this series is complete --Prophecy of the Sisters series1. Prophecy of the Sisters
2. Guardian of the Gate
3. Circle of Fire
I haven't read it yet but I have heard very good things about it. Anyone read it?
Here are some more that I don't think are already listed. I haven’t read all of these, so I can guarantee how good some of them are (not). And some of these are UF instead of PNR (if that matters)Blades of the Rose by Zoe Archer (historical)
Gardella Vampire Chronicles by Colleen Gleason (historical)
Nightwalkers by Jacquelynn Frank (final book 'Adam' out Nov 2011)
Darkyn by Lynn Viehl
Maggie Shayne’s Twilight series
Signs of the Zodiac by Vicki Pettersson (personal favorite)
Dark Days by Jocelynn Drake
Jaz Parks by Jennifer Rardin
Dante Valentine by Lilith Saintcrow
Jill Kismet by Lilith Saintcrow (last one out Oct 2011)
Nightcreatures by Lori Handeland (may be done)
Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger (Another personal favorite, I think the one out in Feb 2012 is to be the last)
I think Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series is to wrap up next year with a final book ‘13’.
Ooohh nice list Christine! I didn't realize the Gardella ones were complete. I think I read the first couple books of that series a long time ago.
PM wrote: "Ooohh nice list Christine! I didn't realize the Gardella ones were complete. I think I read the first couple books of that series a long time ago."As far as I know it's wrapped up. The main characters story line is certainly wrapped up in the five books, but she does leave it open for one of the other characters to have their own book or series. But I've no idea if that's in the works or not.
