P. Christopher Colter (countofbluecars) | 12 comments Seems that this group has been in hibernation for the past week. Here's something to hopefully spark things: When do you tend to like to read? For me personally, it's in bed just before I go to sleep. The downside is that if I've had a crazy day, my eyes give out before my interest does. At this time of year, I like to read on the back deck on a nice weekend morning too.

Dan Evans | 8 comments When I am wide awake. If I read when sleepy I often read several paragraphs with nothing registering.
I often wake up in the middle of the night with my mind alert and wanting fed. A great time to read.

Paul (psinderson) | 10 comments I like to read in the mornings when I'm fresh, but that usually doesn't happen. Late evenings are usually when I can find the time to read, occasionally over lunch, too. I have the same problem with reading when I'm tired. I don't get nearly as far as I want to and then the next day, I'm sort of lost with what I read.

Dennis I tend to read during my lunch hour and right before bed because those are the times that I have available to me. If I'm reading something heavy I try to avoid it before bed. I start to zone out and re-read the same paragraph!

My wife and I recently did a "date nite" and went to Panera Bread and just read! We always complain that we don't have the time to read. My mother-in-law watched the kids and instead of seeing a movie or going out for drinks we had a lite dinner and enjoyed some reading time. It was a good change of pace.

That sounds like some great time alone to me! My wife also complains about not reading enough.

Jeff Fuller (sirfuller) Since i'm a night owl, I tend to read late night when it's very quiet and I won't be disturbed by the phone ringing or someone knocking on the door.
