Darryl Shelly (darrylshellyauthor) This is a trailer for THE HOBBYIST, a novel about a young sex addict in New York City who invites you into his private world of decadence. The book is based upon the true events of the author. Remember to set the picture to 720p to maximize viewing pleasure.

I haven't heard of book preview videos before. Do they feature the author reading the first part of a book and showing the pictures? Do you have any links to some that I can watch?

Erin Lockwood (erinlockwood) | 8 comments I'm looking to hire someone to create a book trailer for me. My novel, Angles a new adult romance, will likely be self published early November. I'd love to get a book trailer out there before it's released. Please let me know if you recommend anyone.

Thanks!
Erin

I know exactly how that is! My husband owns a digital media firm. He created my cover and is working on my website. He creates websites and other materials I need from him on a daily basis but since I'm not paying him to do mine, it's taking a little longer. I guess that's the trade off for having talented family who works on your project for free. :)

Peggy Kopman-Owens (peggykopmanowens) | 7 comments I write to amuse, not abuse my readers (and listeners). As we've all been told. Write about what you know. From an author’s perspective, writing in a popular genre and about a place I've enjoyed for a half century just made sense. My three Paris Mystery series lean toward psychological suspense as they intentionally lack the gratuitous violence that saturates other genre. The word Romanstery, perhaps, best describes them - mysteries with a hint of romance. I appreciate authors who don’t insult my intelligence or my senses, so I purposely design stories to encourage my audience to think, not blink or worse… stop reading.
