C.S. Splitter | 979 comments I am unveiling my blog which started back in March when I was about half way finished with my first book. Now it's out and the reviews are coming in.

Followers welcomed!

Have you ever wondered what goes on in the mind of an indie author? Do they follow reviews on sites like GoodReads, Amazon, Smashwords, and Journal Stone? Are they nervous when they publish a book?

Wonder no more...and if you weren't wondering just play along with me here, ok?.

Join me on the journey to...well, we'll just see where it goes!

message 21: by Katy (new)

Katy (katyas-69) | 603 comments Heh - finally managed to get there and follow - too late for the contest, but at least I had a role to play, what with selecting the winning number and all ... LOL

message 22: by Amy Eye (new)

Amy Eye | 1841 comments Mod
When will you be announcing the winner?

message 23: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments RIGHT NOW :)

Cambria was number 13 and she has accepted. I'll need to work out the details with her. She could be a guy if she wanted to be, or an Amazon, or even a hobbit....though I don't think I can work in a real hobbit.

One thing I do know...she can't be a werewolf. Sorry!

Splitter

message 24: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Clement (jaclement) | 1328 comments Nonono! Make her a multi-millions-selling author with fifteen books in the Top Ten list alone (and that's quite difficult to manage)!

Then when she really is, you'll get kudos for your prescience.
See?
JAC

message 25: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments There is an official update to my blog: http://splittersworld.blogspot.com/

I REALLY need to know if I missed any featured blog reviews.

Thanks y'all!

Splitter

message 26: by Cambria (new)

Cambria (cambria409) | 3305 comments You want to make me into a MAN????? Gheesh a hobbit with BIG hairy feet and a MAN??? I really need to change my profile picture, i don't think its coming across the right way. Or maybe i just pretend when I look in the mirror. LOL.

A multi selling, millionaire book DIVA would be wuite the coup...... I could have good hair and not bite my fingernails.....LOL

I need to negotiate the whole werewolf thing.....MUST HAVE. Just kidding. the other book I have a role in (I know I am having a lucky streak!) is a WW book so I am hoping I actually get one... hahahaha.

I guess the most I can hope for in Splitters book is to be a man. With good hair. And let me just say that IF i was a man in real life (NO I AM NOT alluding to anything here, I am a girl) I would be a big ol guy with big biceps and a big gun. And i would drive a big truck. Yup. I would.

message 27: by Cambria (new)

Cambria (cambria409) | 3305 comments oh yeah and if i was a man i would be hot!

(I would wax my feet)

message 28: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments Nah, I'll let you be what you want...except for the werewolf :)

OK, questions:

Do you want to hot hot (female) or plain?
Straight or lesbian?
Hair color?
I like the name "Cambria" and would like to use it.
Armed or....defenseless.
Do you want to be you or a "fantasy" character?

And not all men HAVE to wax their feet....which beings up another question I have to ask my wife first.

Splitter

message 29: by Cambria (new)

Cambria (cambria409) | 3305 comments Really? Hot or plain? What woman do you know who wants to be plain?? You walked right into that one. I mean really, Splitter. I don't have to be a total babe or anything
- I mean I don't want to come off as narcissistic. (Yeah, i prob spelled that wrong - which makes me a ditz too lol) but being good to look at would be nice.

Straight.

Hair Color??? Hmmmm..... I have been many hues in my life time: Red, blond, blonder, brown, dark brown. I've never had any colors like purple or pink or anything though. I have considered a couple streaks of purple tho. LOL. Been thinking about getting some kind of streak in the front. most likely blond or reddish tho. Most people like me as a blond....don't know why. :)
I'm not too picky about hair color. Would be nice to have really long wavy hair like in TV commercials, but thats just my vanity coming out I guess.
Is this too much talk about hair? I do have a degree in Cosmetology you know...

You can use my name.

Armed or defenseless?? I could go either way on that too. If you are basing it off the "real" me at all my answer would be: I am defenseless (my husband can pin me in seconds, its actaully sad) but I think I am armed because I think of crazy weapons to use like hairspray and lighters. And i would be a dirty fighter...biting, thong hair pulling(lol), crotch kicking.... I also have a mouth on me that can either get me out of situations and sometimes in them. LOL

Me or a fantasy?? maybe a little of both. That's not hard to do is it? LOL. Maybe fantasy with just enough to make me real?? that make sense? (Have I ever told you I am bi-polar???? LMAO)

Really, I am pretty cool with whatever. I know as a writer sometimes characters just do certain things and thats it. So that's okay. Some things might fit into the story line better and thats okay too... :)

Any other questions shoot em my way!

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments Ok....any "tics" or habits? Like nail biting, OCD lock checking, or expressions?

Any favorite verbal expressions? Like do you say, "you know" or repeat sentences (he did? did he?).

Straight. Fine. I am REALLY running short on lesbians though. lmao

I think I am going to give you Nicole Kidman hair, how's that? Not the face though...she's had so much Botox that when she smiles her forehead turns white.

My first husband got a swollen head because a self-proclaimed lesbian announced she was attracted to him. He also was a sperm donor for a lesbian pair, but I don't think it took - would've been the first time; he fathered two children while we were together, that I know of, but neither were with me ... See why he's an ex? Heh. What a jerk ...

Sorry to ruin your lesbian fantasy. LOL.
Nicole kidman hair sounds good to me. It is a pretty color. :)
As far as habits.... in real life I bite my nails. lol. it isn't pretty and I can't have fake nails because it drives me insane to type. I chew my bottom lip and I'm also a terrible "back seat driver" I tend to think my husband is going to hit everything (He never has hit anything) and I death grip the door handle and I often jump in my seat. It drives him nuts. LOL. I'm just an anxious person I guess.

I have a Starbucks habit.

I tend to repeat myself too. As in "Seriously? Seriously." (people laugh)
I say "like" a lot. LOL.

I have always wanted to be able to lift just one eyebrow but usually both go up and I look like I had too much botox LMAO.
If none of these work for you just make something up. LOL.

message 43: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments OMG....except for Starbucks (she had a Dunkin' coffee habit) and the backseat driver thing (she tells me to drive faster and pass those people), I think you are my wife's long lost sister.

OK, I think I have enough.

Oh, and I don't write sex scenes so no worries on the lesbian front lol

Isn't "back-seat driver" something little girls learn in kindergarten? I never managed to marry one who could sit still in the passenger seat -- and I've never had a serious accident yet.

I love your hair's colour, Splitter - it's a great shade and I'm jealous *stares glumly at boring brown locks*

Is the chihuahua biting your nose there? I've heard that's what they do ...

message 48: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments lol, That's a trick I taught her (the Chihuahua biting my nose, not the wife who's not a backseat driver). She is actually the most non-Chihuahua Chihuahua around. Minimal shakes, no yapping, and wouldn't bite a flee.

Looks demonic in that picture though...

And I long for my brown locks lol. Heck, I remember the days when I could say "salt and pepper" without people taking a last glance at the top of my head.

That would be nice ... I actually sort of like the looks of a good-quality Chihuahua, but the personality has been off-putting the few I've been around. I like lap dogs - I guess that's why I haven't bonded with the one we have... he's too squirmy, and a bit too big, to be a lap dog. I had a Pomeranian that I just adored - he was a good little dog. He ended up living with my folks after I left ex #1 and moved back from Portland, and made himself my mom's dog. He lived a good life - I think he was 12 or so when he was bitten by a rattlesnake while protecting Mom and ended up dying from the venom. My other dog, a blue heeler/cocker spaniel mix, went into mourning and was never the same after we lost Yo-Yo. She died a couple years later, of old age.

message 50: by C.S. Splitter (new)

C.S. Splitter | 979 comments Katy, we got VERY lucky with this dog. She is tremendously smart, extremely affectionate, and likes people. She was a rescue (pure bred with an under bite that made her unfit for show) and the only difficulty we ever had with her was that she wouldn't sleep in a box. She had to be right between us in bed.

We also have a 25lb cat who is cool. The dog taught the cat to beg for treats and play fetch. The cat taught the dog to clean her face after eating and find the sunny spot to nap in. They are buddies and play all the time. The silly thing is that the bog begs food from the cat...

I wish I had the life of either of my pets.
