The challenge for August is to read a book from Mt TBR. It must be a book that has spent some time there. Not necessarily the oldest book on the TBR mountain but one of them. Maybe one of the 10 or 20 oldest on the pile. For those who only have 10 or 20 books, I applaud you.

I've recently been chipping away at my oldest TBRs, but still have 26 that were added in Feb 2009, which is when I joined GR! So I should have no problem with this challenge!!
Coincidentally, I have one of my 10 oldest books on the list for this month. I'm planning to read The Other Daughter by Lisa Gardner after I finish the book I'm working on.
Not my oldest, but The Fiery Cross has been on my TBR since April 22, 2009. I love this series, but the size of the book kept putting me off - I finished it yesterday, all 979 pages of it!I may get to one of those oldest ones yet this month - still have almost two weeks!!
was my challenge selection. It was just alright for me. Nothing special. It had its moments but I never really warmed up to either the H or h. I much preferred the secondary characters like Lady Letty and Becka.
I didn't officially sign up for this challenge, but I just finished
. It's been on my TBR list since I joined Goodreads, but I've been meaning to read it for ever since it was released. Wish I could say it was worth the wait, but it wasn't as bad as I feared. Isn't that a ringing endorsement? lol
Finished another 'oldest on the TBR' - this one has been there since Feb. 26, 2009 -
. Different from what I was expecting, but still a 3.5* read.
