Who is your favorite character in the whole Harry Potter series?
Luna is by far my favorite character. I just absolutely love her - she is the most interesting and lovable character in the series. You can always count on her to say the funniest, impossible things whether it's accusing Scrimgeour of being a vampire or saying Sirius is really a singing sensation. She knows others think she's odd and that they mock her behind her back, but she's so above that and she doesn't let it bother her. Oddly enough, my other favorite character in the series is Bellatrix Lestrange. She's absolutely insane, and I kinda like her for that.

I think my favorite character changes with each book. With Sorcerer's Stone it's Harry obviously since you are just meeting him and it's really all about him.
With Chamber of Secrets it's Ron as we learn more about his family, his fear of spiders, and his selflessness as he sacrifices himself in the chess game.
In Prisonzer of Azkaban it is Dumbledore. What he does to save both Buckbeak and Sirius shows his character.
Goblet of Fire - I have two - Dobby, and Hermonie. I enjoyed seeing Harry and Ron start seeing her as a young woman and not just a pal.
Order of the Phoenix - Neville and Luna - Neville because has grown so much and challenges Harry about being in the DA and fighting "You-Know-Who" when Harry doesn't want them to help him. Luna because she is so comfortable with who she is that she doesn't care about what other people think. Plus she's so kookie.
Half-Blood Prince - Snape - he such a multi-layered character. I felt so bad for him when he had to kill Dumbledore.
Deathly Hallows - Don't really have a favorite. Overall Harry is always my favorite character but Rowling did such a good job making all of her characters fully rounded that they all are great in their own way.
well i can't pick one, so luna and neville. luna is just so unique and i love every word that comes out of her mouth. she's just herself and doesn't care what anyone else thinks. she doesn't judge anyone and is just AWESOME.Ok, now neville. HE'S FREAKING AWESOME! haha ok in the first few books he's finding himself and is kind of awkward but i love him for it. and then around the order of the phoenix he starts to really understand who he is and he wants to help against Voldemort and he's so dang loyal. plus in the deathly hallows, man. ok i could go on and on about them for days :)

Wow....I liked quite a few characters...but I guess Luna and Hermione.
My favorite characters were Fred, Sirius and Dumbledore :)
Remus Lupin :) Was my first true love LOL!Pre-Azkaban it was probably Dumbledore, and near the end I really liked Snape's character. But Lupin will always have that place in my heart.
McGonagall - it broke my heart that she wasn't given more playtime. Everything she said was EPIC. I only regret that she wasn't a Ravenclaw... and that she likes cats. But come on. TARTAN!Least favourite goes to Harry.

I have a soft spot for the bad boys :) my faves are Draco, Sirius, Lupin, and Snape. ESPECIALLY Snape :)
I really love the character of Bellatrix Lestrange!.
Hmm..this is difficult :) Jacque is right. Each time we read the book, we have different character as our fave. But, in the whole series? Well, I choose Luna, the twins, Hermione, Neville and Snape.

Dobby He, is probably my favorite character. <3 Dobby's death was the 2nd saddest scene I had ever seen in the Harry Potter series.
Severus Ah, Severus. His back story, well made me give into him more. And his death, was awful, especially in the movie. I will always love Severus, for every and always.

Luna for sure. So funny and offbeat.
They are allll so great, but I found myself having a loving connection to Lupin. He was such a nice guy, always there for Harry, best intentions, and just an all around tragic life. Everyone he loves died- and we all know what happened with him in Book 7. He's a tragic character, and he spoke to my heart! (gotta love 'em all though!)

And I oddly really liked Bellatrix Lestrange too! That wild look in her eyes was intriguing.
In the books, I liked Tonks a lot. The movies didn't bring her character out as much as I hoped.
I love them all. Something strikes me really hard when any of the characters die. But if I HAD to choose a favorite, it would be Severus Snape--probably the most complicated character in the series.
I love Hermione, Ron, Ginny, Harry, Lily, Snape, Dumbledore, Fred, George, Sirius, Tonks, Lupin.... pretty much everyone. :P

Most definitely, Luna Lovegood is my favorite character, and I think Rowling, who is astonishing in her ability to keep track of characters and plots, still missed a good bet in not figuring Luna more fully into the subsequent books. There is something charming in Luna's ethereal, or is it air-headed, goofiness, or is it irreality?On the other hand, I find I have two very least favorite characters: Hagrid and Ron.
Luna. I love Luna she is so quirky and funny. And Hermione.

2) Hermione - she's such a good romodel! She's smart, hard working, passionate, loyal, and brave. And not to mention, she gets her boy in the end. Harry wouldn't have been able to find any of those horcruxes without her help.
3) Malfoy - from the very beginning, Draco and Harry didn't get along and for the first books he was just a nuissance. But when Voldemort asked him to kill Dumbledore, we discover that Malfoy is not a killer. He's just a scared boy within a man's body.

I like Hermione cuz she reminds me of...me! lol I also really liked Sirius. I would love to be an animagus if I were part of the Harry Potter world.

Dobby: he's been absolutely adorable throughout the series. I was sobbing both when he died in the film and the book.Fred & George: both of them were always hilarious, I never expected Fred to die in the end. That was a major shocker.
Bellatrix: she was completely insane, which I loved(on the account of me being completely coo-coo crazy), but then she had to go and kill Fred. Which was a big no-no for me. Off the faves list for you, Trixie.
Luna: I like people who think outside the box. Who speak their mind. Who are completely mental.
Ron: readheads are funny when they're angry.
Draco: evil stuck-up rich brats are hilarious when they're angry.
Tonks: cool hair.
Hagrid: I always had a thing for hairy guys.
Sirius: not telling why he's on the list (Gary Oldman, ooooooh!)
Snape: Sarcasm may be the lowest form of wit, but it's the highest point of intelligence. Or so I heard.
Harry: well, duh, he's the dude in charge.

Lupin is my favorite character. He has so much heart, so much soul and so much intelligence. He is a lovely person. He sees the good and potential in everyone. With his affliction, he is never one to pass judgment on anyone else.He is so lovely. I adore him. He will forever be my favorite.

My favorite are the twins FRED and GORGE, cause there funny and dont care what people think about them, there just awesome. And Hermione, she is just brilliant. And Ron, of course :), im in love with Ron! Also Draco, gorgeous!!!! <3
