Andrea Diaz (literarygetaway) | 23 comments I find myself reading the first one or two books of a series, then starting a new one, then returning to the first series, then starting a new one, then back to the second series, and so on! So, how do ya'll go about reading books when dealing with sequels? Do you read one series at a time, or do you scatter them?

Kate | 8205 comments Scatter. Half the time the next book hasn't come out yet, or I'm still waiting for it to come in but I want to read something else. Yes, I will occasionally read a series straight, but that's the unusual one.

Andrea Diaz (literarygetaway) | 23 comments See, I always thought I was the only one! My friends say that it's just wrong. But, I really don't see how there could be a wrong way to read. :/

I used to scatter, but now I prefer to only start a series when they're complete or only have one book left to come.

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments There isn't a wrong way to read- there's just different ways. If I have a whole series I tend to read them one after the other, but I can't do anything if the next book isn't out yet.

Ingrid Several. I'm always having lots of book at once.

It would depend on wether I have bought the whole series or if the whole series is published. If I get the books out from the library I generally have to wait a few weeks (due to my library have a really rubbishe teen section.) so I start a new series in the meantime.

Tom Tancin (tomtancin) | 3 comments I usually scatter series, especially if they entire series is not yet published. I did read the Harry Potter series straight through without reading other books in between though.

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) I used to never be able to handle more than 1 book at a time, and now I usually average around 3 at a time. I just don't have a lot of time, and I've not had very good luck with picking books that actually keep my interest, so if I'm not going back and forth between 3, I usually won't get any reading done at all.

I'm always reading more than one series at one time. Right now I'm in about 9 book series. I always happen to find series that doesn't have all the books out yet. So I always have to wait for the books to come out and I'm not always that patient.

Valencia (empowered) | 66 comments I'm bad about reading 3 books at once last month I had 5 going and didn't get anywhere with any of them but this month I've already finished 3 books (: and it's just the 5th!!!!

message 16: by Kam (new)

Kam (iamwhowhoareyou) | 924 comments im usually reading about 15-20 books at a time...but that's cause im slightly ADHD. i get bored SO easily, so i cycle among books. I read one until im bored, then go to the next, etc., etc.

Series, though, i scatter, cuz usually im just waiting for the next book. :/
