What has been your favorite book to movie adaptation? What was your least favorite?

Best: Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist (amazing soundtrack and it was much easier for me to hate Nick's ex-girlfriend in the movie, which I really wanted to do in the book but she kept doing something nice and changing my mind)

Worst: The Golden Compass (It was just horrendous! No wonder they decided not to finish the series)

Best: Jane Eyre. Although they did start in the middle of the book to make it less confusing for people that haven't read the book, it was pretty awesome.

Worst: Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief. Awful. Changed the whole ending, ages, and just about everything else. Kinda like how bad the Eragon movie is compared to the book.

Best: Persuasion. It was beautifully played out in the movie with a much better climax than I expected.

Worst: I would have to agree with Katie, the worst movie from a book was Percy Jackson. Though Ella Enchanted comes close, the entire plot and main bad guy was altered for Percy Jackson, and they plan on making a second movie, without the main bad guy. That is bad planning.

I forgot about Ella Enchanted. That wasn't great compared to the book, but I did kinda like before I had read it though.

My new favorite is whip it based on the book derby girl.....it was a great adaptation of the book and was true to many details

The worst is probably the twilight series movies....I really enjoyed the books but the movies were cheesy and a disappointment

Best: Soul Surfer. I just really liked it... then again, I loved the book too :)

Worst: Chronicles of Narnia. Hated it, even though I liked the book.

Best: Jurassic Park. It probably isn't the book, but it's just a good movie.

Worst:... Percy Jackson. The Narnia movies are...OK, but then again I could only read (and finish) the "chronological" first two books in that series, Magician's Nephew and Lion, witch, wardrobe.
