Welcome Fionna. Lots of fans of all your favorite authors here and I'm sure you'll discover lots of new authors to enjoy.

Hi Fionna, thanks for joining us! Have fun exploring the threads. (And speaking of fun, don't forget to look at the Fun and Games folder. Mayhem indeed!)

isnt Fionna the name of inspector Wexford's wife??
I don't know, but I doubt it, somebody would have told me before now :D
Whats good about the non-B ones?
Well, I don't read the Bolitar books (anymore, I read a couple) for various reasons, but the biggest one is that I don't like the narrative voice, so while the stories were okay I just wanted to thump Myron all the time.
Then what I like about his other books are the *twists*! They start with some impossible situation (like a video of a dead wife turning up showing she is still alive) and then just get so tense and twisty and exciting while the main character finds out what the hell has actually happened, and then the end is jaw dropping.
New to Good Reads and this group, looking forward to getting to know the system and all of youse.
In this genre, I suppose I like the police procedurals best (Tana French, Mo Hayder, Stuart MacBride, Peter Robinson, Reginald Hill, Karin Slaughter, and so on) although I'm also a big fan of Harlan Coben's non-Bolitar books, and anything by John le Carré.
