How many times a year do you go to McDonalds, and what do you get?

I'm curious.

We used to go quite frequently, not because we liked it necessarily, but because it's so cheap. I used to get a McChicken sandwich and small fries, but I haven't been there in months.
Freshman year, my friends and I went to McDonalds frequently because no one had a car, and it's the one place where everyone could find something to eat. I get the chicken mcnuggets combo. Sophomore year, I think we went once or twice. If I'm at home, and I've passed all the fast food places, and I don't plan on cooking, I'll stop and get the same combo. But that doesn't happen often.Oh! but I will stop often for the frozen strawberry lemonade! It's delicious.
Can we add Taco Bell to this survey? 'cause when you mentioned TB in the cravings thread, I wanted to ask you what your order, RA. Because aren't you a vegetarian? TB has veggie meals?
Almost never, anymore. If I go in, it's to get a vanilla cone. Their soft serve ice cream is the yummiest around, and a cone is only 69 cents.A few years ago I'd pick up breakfast before work sometimes. It was close and cheap, and they had awesome pancakes.
I think I was forced to eat McDonald's once this year and got a starchy, sugary yogurt parfait. Yuck.
I used to go maybe once a year, but with the 5 year old being obsessed with McDonald’s I go maybe 4-5 times a year. I did have a chicken McMini sandwich (grilled not breaded) that had a nice spicy mango sauce on it. If you get that and ask them to hold the mayo- it’s actually not too bad and a decent option.
Sometimes when traveling, I will stop on the road or in an airport terminal for breakfast, mostly. I like their breakfast burritos. If it's later in the day I'll get a 1/4 pounder.
We call it the 0.1134 KG Special or a 113.40 G Burger in Canada.Actually, it’s a 1/4 pounder here too.
I go maybe 40 times in a year.My son has a hamburger happy meal, with apple slices instead of fries, and either a milk or a root beer.
I have nothing, though occasionally I cave and have either a yogurt parfait or a chocolate chip cookie.
I go... it's close to my work!!I have a tiny cheeseburger meal or the 4 piece nuggets.
You know what else I love? The bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. I share one of those with Pippa some mornings if we're driving somewhere fun.
I know it's crap food, I know it's artificial and disgusting, but I think that's what I love about it. For example, the "cheese"??? I love that stuff!!
It's been a few years since I've eaten at one, but sometimes on a long-distance drive, I've found that McDonald's can hit the spot, and there's almost always one around.
Very interesting...my secret reason for asking revolved around their changed menus. They have ice cream cones for 50 cents, my oldest son reminded me yesterday, so we stopped by on the way home from Cabela's. And their wireless is impeccable, especially in the renovated stores, so I've camped out at McDonalds a couple times with my laptop when the coffee shops are already closed. I get a latte. So I've been to McDonalds more in the last six months than probably in the last six years.

Kevin and my sons would be an instant match. I'm thinking of dropping my kids off on his doorstep come hunting season, beeping the horn, and driving off.

I'm not sure, but they may be required by law to call it "cheez." I believe that is now standard for all cheeses that don't actually contain cheese.
The last time I bought something at McDonald's was when the girls were small, 15 years ago or so, we'd get happy meals. They just wanted the toys and the chicken nuggets. Neither of my girls ever wanted a hamburger/cheeseburger. I always made them get milk or orange juice instead of soda. Mean mom. I have a sentimental love for the Egg McMuffin. That was my late father-in-law's favorite breakfast. "Come on, Ann, I'll buy you a nice breakfast," he'd call to his wife. Sniff.
My grandfather was like that, only he loved Roy Roger's breakfast; he went everyday to get coffee and fried potatoes and socialize with the other seniors. It was always a special treat when I got to go too.
I might go with my wife every once in a while for coffee. My kids don't really like it, and so it's a blessing for us.

I worked at McDonald's when I was in college, so I think I got all that I needed for a lifetime. If I need to use their restroom on a road trip, I'll buy a Diet Coke.

I love it. And you're driving away before he even comes out of his house, right?

I've pretty much given up McDonalds food, not that I ate that much of it anyway. In the past I'd get a quarter pounder and fries maybe 3-4 times a year. So: no more food. Then I went through a phase over the last year where I really dug their strawberry milkshakes. I've cut ice cream and shakes out of my diet so now really the only thing I get there, on occasion, is the frozen strawberry lemonade, and the only time I get it is if I'm right in the vicinity. They're on the way to the library, so on a hot day walking, I'll mostly likely stop and get a lemonade. But that's it. I've probably gotten 6-7 lemonades this summer. And over the winter if I was walking to the library I might stop and get a hot chocolate. I don't sit there and drink it, though. I keep walking. I don't like the McDonalds ambiance. I also don't like their coffee, which tastes like water.
I love McDonald's food, but the only time we eat there is when we are on a road trip. We always stop in at the McDonald's in Port Washington when we go to Wisconsin. When we go to Atlanta, our usual stops are Crawfordsville Indiana and Chattanooga Tennessee.
I generally get the chipoltle grilled chicken wrap and fries, my husband gets the 1/4 pounder w/cheese.

I've been there:)

You really should stop and say Hi to RA then.
I rarely eat at McDonald's. However, when we were vacationing in London, I had a quarter pounder (no cheese or onions) and sprite.
So Happy Meals are getting a teeny bit healthier, apparently because of Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign. But:
Happy Meals account for less than 10% of McDonald’s U.S. sales, but sales have been declining since 2003 for a funny reason: “gadgets for children have become more sophisticated and the toys less desirable.”
And Instead of Happy Meals, parents have been
ordering adult-size items off the ‘dollar menu’ and splitting them between two children rather than buying two kids’ meals.

I went to McDonald's in Mesquite, NV. yesterday because that's where we like to meet up with our friends from Las Vegas.I had oatmeal.
Was the oatmeal good? I've been wondering about that oatmeal. It's always nice to have a healthy option unless it tastes like shit.
The oatmeal itself is a relatively healthy option. The apples and the cream keep it healthy. If you add the cranberry raisin blend, those are heavily sweetened and bump it up to dessert category.
About the only thing I buy at Mickey D's is coffee. I am on a Qdoba chicken mango salad kick right now -mmmmmmm!
We don't have a Qdoba. ::makes big frowny face::I still get e-mail from Qdoba and hope to someday find one nearby.
